2022 Joshua Conerly Jr, 5 ⭐️ OL, class of 2022 offered

Exactly my point. Zion was 280-285 week 1 at UF and got ragdolled all season long. Ain’t no shame in saying this kid won’t be physically ready to play big boy ball week 1, doesn’t mean he can’t grow into a legit NFL prospect one day
The point would be Zion who was horribly prepared#1 didn't have solid fundamentals and a good base to grow from. Horrible hand placement ,shaky feet and a weak core. Opposed to this kid hasn't spent one second in a strength and conditioning or a nutrition program and he already has the mentality and the fundamentals solidly in place to start out with. You're simply refining this kid and by September the kid is easily 305. He's staying at this weight because of his basketball season. It's a night & day situation. I say that while I still say he will be a back up as a freshman if we land him. These kids we have already will be fine with the coaching they'll reciever now. Only question comes from the mental side and if they can be nasty in the trenches, stepping on facemasks and poking people in the eyes.

Has reset his recruitment and will extend his final 4 OVs through March.

From Brandon Huffman, 247 reporter on West Coast:

One of those players who didn't sign is Seattle (Wash.) Rainier Beach offensive lineman Josh Conerly Jr..
Conerly still has just one official visit under his belt- to Michigan.

But there are still several schools swinging away at Conerly, who announced his top six at the All-American Bowl, which included the Wolverines, but also included Miami, Oklahoma, Oregon, USC and hometown Washington.

With Conerly playing in the Polynesian Bowl next weekend, he'll sandwich official visits around the trip to Hawaii.

This weekend, he'll be at Oklahoma for an official, Conerly telling 247Sports on Wednesday morning that he'll arrive in Norman on Saturday morning and return on Monday.

He'll go to Hawaii next week in the middle of the week, then visit Miami the final weekend before the dead period.

Conerly also told 247Sports that he would not make a decision until March, with plans to take his remaining official visits that month.

Those visits will likely be to Oregon and USC, with Washington, where he's been a number of times, likely to get an unofficial visit from Conerly so he can visit the two out-of-state schools.

This one is way too close to call and for the second straight year, the Northwest's top prospect will take his recruitment past Signing Day.

All of that, plus the other massive thing people overlook with the OL.

How well they work together. You can generally look at an OL player and say they're a tackle, guard, center, etc on the build alone. Still, that doesn't mean a thing until you see them in action and then how they all work together. If they do this, the guy beside them feels that movement, sees it, and knows where to go. It's like you're all one body, but certain parts and moving together fluidly.

That's what made those early 2k units so **** good. They worked together as one. Hope we find some of that with the new eyes and coaching we have coming.
