I wasn’t trying to single him out or blame him for us not landing him. I just am pretty sure that Patke was the one that offered him and was responsible for Houston recruiting for the most part. He was locked up to LSU pretty shortly after he was offered by them though after backing off of his OKST verbal. We really never had much of a chance back then.

4 years of eligibility remaining, elite skills, fits into the MLB role that @Liberty City El outlined in the post below. Seems like an absolute gift out of nowhere. Of course, not really out of nowhere because @SouthParkCane says we've been working the back channels on this one.

Edit:Baylor will be a school to watch for..Aranda (who recruited him to LSU) is there and much closer to home
