Josh Pate On Miami's Meltdown vs Georgia Tech (Late Kick Cut)

Klatt is a moron. Wouldn't even waste my time taking to account what he has to say.

Is was idiotic. Dumbest thing I've seen on a football field since the HB pass in the blizzard in El Paso. It costed us a W - lots of stupid calls don't cost games and even if they do, it rarely costs a literal guaranteed win, there's usually more that happens - like the one against Stanford in 2018.

I would go as far to say that if it ever happens again, knowing it has happened to him twice now, that the next time will cost him his job. It's that egregiously stupid and shows a severe lack of football IQ to lead a program at this level or an ego that needs a serious adjustment.
Klatt is a moron, 100%

They wanted Chaney over 100 because of what the kid had gone through. Hes a players HC the pad stats statement was off because he doesnt know the context of the story. Thats the only thing he was off on but I meant I agree with the context of what he said I should of been more clear.

Dawson took the blame at his presser and Mario admitted he should have stepped in to call the time out. Mario was hands off with Dawson when he called that vertical to George against A&M instead of running down clock.

This time Dawson probably just wanted to ram it down GT’s throat one last time because they were frustrating him the whole game. Mario let him make the call. That’s my take.

Saturday is make or break.

Win and HRS is sold out and rocking for a night game against a meh Clemson team, and while all will never be forgotten, it will at least be in the rearview mirror.

Lay an egg and we are ****ed.
Clemson is an away game.

Edit: my bad I was wrong.

That’s a take I haven’t heard and probably deserves its own thread. Coming from a former qb klatt says it was on tvd to know time and situation and not run a bad play. Not to play blame game but this adds another layer to this 12 layer crap cake. Funny how with so many dynamics to this loss most people only focusing on one.
That’s what I said Saturday night
Tvd should have onown
Lee should have known
Every ***ing coach on sideline and in booth should have known
And Made it known to our dunce HC!!!!

Situational Awareness - our entire team and staff need to enroll in the class

Not only that, the commentator was pointing out the fact that we were breaking the huddle too quickly and asking our OL to stand in a certain position.

TVD left plenty of seconds on the clock.

Not sure it would've even mattered cause Mario probably would've still ran a play.
Yeah TVD is a meathead not draining clock each play during that drive

Or fumble overruled. Watching it over the elbow was clearly down when the ball gets ripped out. It was just as egregious as running that play to begin with.
nah running a play was more egregious bc you opened yourself up to that circus. we lack intelligence on the sidelines

I’m talking about them folding up v unc
As we have seen in the past w Mack running a train on us
Bruh this trench game is different. It isn’t Miami standard yet but them boys better enjoy what they used to do. We can score on them and we can stop them. Y’all acting scared like we don’t have dogs. This isn’t those canes. I refuse to believe they not going to fight. This team and the culture is changing

The ruling was pretty egregious because it can be reversed. The running play can’t. Both were obvious mistakes but the ruling could have been reversed and should have based on video evidence.

I agree that it wasn't a fumble. it shouldn't have been a turnover, but thats also why there is a victory formation play. you dont let the 1% of circus show **** happen (whether a fumble/non fumble ruling, even the ball coming loose at all, etc.). it was all preventable. Mario will be Luigi until he runs through the rest of the schedule bc this is the exact fear everyone has with him (his questionable game day coaching). there were more than just the kneel downs. we kept running plays with time left on the play clock with a running clock which Is egregious in itself. our time management last year and this year when it matters is pretty awful. hopefully zo gets an intern down there to help them with that aspect.

don't disagree. But there was a review of the fumble that is what made especially frustrating. You could not undo the bad play call but the ruling could have been undone. Anyway, time to move on.
