IMO, coaching and playing at Miami is completely different than Louisville, Duke, etc. It takes a special coach and special kids. I also think, it’s more kids that need to be weeded out the program. Kids in USC (LA) and Miami have a lot more bs to navigate to focus on football.

It’s the same reason why Lincoln Riley will struggle to get USC to where their fans “expect them to be” quickly and that’s with a Heisman QB.

Everybody got a right to be upset at decisions that’s been made, I just don’t think 1.5 years through the process it’s time to hit the reset button.

If we're being honest, 3 years really isn't enough time either...

Due to the Portal, it's probably gonna take about 5-6 years at least before the roster is fully filled with Mario recruits & evals.

And you make a great point about the Miami kids that need to be weeded out of the program & Mario is currently doing that right now. And when you look at our recruiting class, he's replacing them so that when we Portal out the Miami kids we can put Miami kids in place of them.

Facts. I dont want to hear the Beta-Cuck BS of " We were 5-7 last year, this is marked inprovement".

**** all that. This team has enough talent to be undefeated we haven't faced one perfect team. Every game we played in we should have and could have won with proper gameplanning, preparation, masking our deficiencies and exposing our opponents.

None of which we have done consistently and as a TEAM, the entire season. Fomf with excuses mane

Top to bottom? Everywhere on the field has been an improvement other than QB. No one expected TVd to go "ryan leaf" mode mid season

LOL man got USC to 11 wins in year 1. if we did that last year, everyone would back off for a down year 2. Lincoln Riley also led a pressure cooker situation at OU to multiple playoffs following Stoops.

stop that. were not winning the next 2/3. greater chance of going 0-3 than even 1-2.

5-7 with a weak schedule last year so yea it would be progress. And tbh the schedule is never really all that hard playing in the áss acc

Hence the reason I said "IF".

This entire thread is based off Josh Pate saying 8-4 would be good progress. Which of course it would because A) we won 5 games last year and B) it would involve beating either FSU or Louisville and BC and ending the year on somewhat of a positive.

That was the entire discussion. Not whether or not we will. But "IF WE DO"...
 
Our offensive line is elite. One of the most dreadful position groups in the country has become elite in just 18 months because of Mario. It doesn't get much better than they are right now. And our offense still looks like this?

How come Mario can get credit for transforming our OL room in 18 months but can't be blamed for dreadful QB play and depth and a pathetic offensive scheme which is the reason we're looking at 7-5 instead of 10-2 or even better.
 
We aren’t beating The Semenholes or the Birds with the offense that played last Saturday and we might not get by BC.

Our D has been playing great but they won’t be able to completely shutdown both *** St and Loserville but even if they hold both to under 21 which would be great we still lose with that whatever it is we are running out there Mario and Dawson try and call an Offense.

We are are headed to 7-5 and Mario will be blowing his own horn ( pause) trying to sell how great the progress was.

I agree with some of your points

But Mario’s keeps making stupid mistakes that makes it harder to give him the benefit of the doubt

Whiffing on coordinators year 1
2-4 per game Gameday egregious mistakes from a management standpoint
GaTech loss
Not grabbing a portal QB this year

I’m not ready to say fire Mario, but Mario himself needs to be better and evolve.

If he doesn’t, there’s no way he can recruit his way into a top 10 program, cause he will consistently hold Us back with bad hires and bad Gameday decisions that cost us games
 
Whatever happened during the by week before GT is what changed our season. If it was truly Mario self scouting and wanting to control the game then we are sooooooo fooked it’s not even funny.

Nothing has looked the same since that bye week and it ALL has the writing of Mario the Corch interfering with what was happening.

this year is likely to finish 6-6. he needs to win 10 next year as a must. randy won 9 in year 3. golden won 9 in year 3. manny went 8-3 in year 2. richt won 10 in year 2. mario is a better coach than al of those but richt. he needs to start winning asap

They may not be as impressive but prior to this year we weren't winning those unimpressive games either. The year LSU beat us was Burreaux's first year and his stats were not much different than Malik Rosier's. And we still lost.
