End of the show he talks a lot about Miami. Worth a listen. I like his perspective a lot. He is hardcore, well connected, well informed and disinterested/impartial.
It's not even about being well-connected—it's about being a logic-driven human being, instead of an over-emotional twit.
The first thing he did when he saw the story blowing up? Went back to the source and watched the interview for context—instead of just jumping on the narrative that Mario "blamed" the South Florida media.
99% of the idiots who comment in knee-jerk fashion won't even do this; they just pile on—some even being so stupid as to take the time to tweet at a show host for a take on something before even doing their homework.
This is a simple, logical, common-sense take that ANY FAN could easily have, if they chose to not be overemotional with their assessment of the program—which is usually rooted in running their mouths to rival fans and friends about Miami being "back" and then being embarrassed when the Canes faceplant, again.
Best-case scenario, had the current roster bought-in to Mario's alpha, hard-***, hard working stylings—this team would be at worst, 5-2 right now and more-likely 6-1 with this schedule.
Instead, as the analogy goes—the house had termite damage, water damage and was more of a teardown than expected—which makes the rebuild more invasive than expected.
Even with this understanding, we have idiot fans screaming that Miami beat "the same Duke team", 47-10 last year and lost by 24 this year, therefore Diaz was a better coach that Cristobal.
That's the level of imbecile we're dealing with regarding most of the loudmouthed critics in this fan base.
Josh is 1000% spot-on—yet we'll still have morons who hear that six-minute spiel and respond with, "But yeah, bro, Mario still blamed the media for all those losses, bro."
I can't even with these yahoos.....
