I’m moving on from the Mullen and Brady pipe dreams.

Realistically I think it will be:
QB/OC Marcus Arroyo
WR James Coley
And that would be incredibly underwhelming and speak volumes about Mario's inability to hire anyone of substance outside of the group of coaches who he had worked with before. We didn't make a commitment to spending on the level with Clemson and Alabama so that we could go out and get Marcus Arroyo as our OC. QB coach? Sure! Most definitely. OC? No way! I'm fine with hiring Coley as a position coach specifically WR coach because he can recruit at an elite level and WR needs that right now.

At the end of the day I don't care what the OCs name is as long as we are exciting, fun to watch, move the ball and score a ton of points. Still, we didn't hire Mario so we could settle for average coaches and coordinators. This is Miami and hiring Mario and making a financial commitment to the football program should also mean a commitment to hiring the best coaches possible. Again, this is Miami and we should go after the best.

What I find interesting is that there doesn't seem to be a shortage of people who know the Gattis situation but nobody is even hinting at the new OC situation. So either the hiring process hasn't really ramped up or nobody will even dare put that info out there because of the Gattis situation.
Mario runs a tight ship in terms of restricting information leaks. Its possible that Mario has already picked the next OC and come to terms with him and is just waiting for this whole Gattis fiasco to play out before announcing the new OC. Not saying that this means anything but John Ruiz has said on Twitter that the fans will be very happy with the new OC. Take that for what it's worth. It would be nice to be pleasantly surprised by the new hire.

Really want to discourage this unless it’s your own personal post with the posters on the chat scrubbed out.

Let’s keep DMs direct messages, not public ones.
Inday, I want to clarify one thing in thinking about it. I agree if people are DM’g each other on a mutual friendly conversation then it shouldn’t be shared. If, however, one poster DM’s another poster something threatening or not meant to be a friendly DM, I do not think that’s protected.

Which program will hire new coaches first, Miami a new QB coach and possibly new OC and WRs coach, or Bama new OC and DC?

He probably has verbiage in his contract stating that he has to get an equivalent position, instead of a demotion, for the contract at the new school to offset his money owed here. That, plus settling what Michigan is paying vs what Miami is paying.

All I know is if I am one of the billionaires that bails him out of hiring Gattis by paying off his contract I would be telling him he **** well better get it right this time! Also, that the results on the field this year were not nearly 100% of injuries.

Even if any of that first paragraph was true, it's still just money (and it's not nearly as high as the misinformed paid media claims).

Nope. They’ve answered this before. Ask yourself these questions, Would u want to work for a dude that was hired to take your job? How hard would you be willing to work for said newbie, knowing he took your job, when you felt that you were wrongfully terminated? As a head coach…..Would you be able to TRUST a dude you just fired, who felt that he was wrongly fired, to do a good job coaching his position group? **** no. Tthere’s no way in ****, Gattis will be anywhere near a field, wearing any athletic gear with a “U” on it, next season.

Exactly.

This board has so many fake wannabe H.R. Specialists coming up with genius staff org charts to "solve" every problem.

Gattis will not be back.

I missed that. When did Ruiz say that?

I would rather have constant flaming hot diarrhea than arroyo be our OC.
