No offense to Rodriguez but we need to do better at C. If no one is available in the portal, I would try Buchanan there or give Nino a shot. Also don’t think SJ is big enough to play here.
Rodriguez was honored on sr day. Is there even any confirmation hes back to be an option. Assumed he was gone anyways

This isn’t true at all. He’s got possibility to sneak into the back end of Day 1 depending on how well he tests. He’ll def be at least a top 60 pick.
Could be wrong but I rem hearing on CIS pod he’ll leave his JUCO waiver got declined + the CFB playoff boost his stock. I see him going round 4 similarly to Dawand Jones the 6’8 OT. Would love to be wrong though

What about Bell? Why would he leave? He's not a top 3-round pick IMO. If he stays and we got Seaton, one could play RT and Cantwell could redshirt.
I get this but from the numbers thrown around for what were paying cantwell no way he sits

anyone with analysis on how good this dude is? obviously super highly recruited / coveted

is it potential? production? who's he comparable to? as solid as bell?

I don’t think Cantwell sits either, but remember we paid pancake a lot to sit and develop.
Whatever we do with Cantwell, I trust Mirabel and Mario. Those two don't throw cash around kids for class ranking bumps. They sign guys who fit what they do (definitely need the physical traits) but also guys who trust their vision and plan for the player's development.

I'm sure Mario and Mirabel had and will continue to have honest conversations with Cantwell and family no different than what they did with Samson.

****, look at a kid like Kinsler. He has stuck by Mario and Mirabel because he trusts the process (he's also getting paid). Then you look at a guy like Tripp and through honesty decisions were made the made sense (stay and maybe squeeze out some reps or go elsewhere and get the reps you need which he's getting at FIU).

Mario isn't Al Golden. When Mario sells a kid it so much more than empty promises and slimy guarantees. Mario may soon corny with his talk about process, and get back to work, and character, but it's all sincere and we are seeing it works.

The current run we are on and the development we are seeing in real time should provide enough evidence that Mario knows what he is doing. Not perfect but close enough

They’ll play the best five, rotate any one who deserves to play, play with lots of six- and seven-man lines in short yardage, and they’ll cross train guys at multiple positions to see the best mix.
