Everyone expects him to leave.Yes, people expect Bell to leave . He’s done a lot for his draft stock with this run. I wouldn’t say it’s done but very likely .

That OL room is filled with straight killers. That schtick wouldn’t last long at all. He’s appears to be immature and borderline clownish, but we just need him to lock in for 12 months. If Mario & co believes that he can do that and want to bring him on then lets do it. This aint the CU lockerroom, he’d have to buy in and adjust here and if he doesn’t well then it’d be a flop and he’d probably be gone by summer time lol. It’s his money year, lets hope that gives him a swift kick in the *** that is needed.
OL tend to get more looks once draft season starts. There’s the known names, like Mauigoa, but the late risers get more looks once it’s just dedicated film time. What about Bell? Why would he leave? He's not a top 3-round pick IMO. If he stays and we got Seaton, one could play RT and Cantwell could redshirt.
Does he follow Tootsies tho?
I would assume coaches know if bell is going especially if they going after Seaton. I dont see Bell being a LT in the NFL though, wouldnt he be RT at the next level? Just not quick enough to handle those speed rushers at the next levelBell is a two year starter , he’s not moving if he returned and that looks doubtful currently . People inside are expecting him to go.
Don’t blame him to strike while the iron is hot.OL tend to get more looks once draft season starts. There’s the known names, like Mauigoa, but the late risers get more looks once it’s just dedicated film time.
At his size, some team will fall in love with the still raw aspect of him being 1.5 years in D1 ball. I do agree, if he came back and built off this CFP performance he could go T10 next year. If he spent a safe year here working on blocking speed rushers he could be the best T in CFB.
This brings up a reason to have a 2nd portal window after Spring practices. If I’m a Jr/Sr and a younger guy comes out of the portal/high school and takes my spot, I want to be able to transfer. Right now I don’t know if I am likely to lose that spot. But I’ll know who is higher up on the depth chart coming out of Spring practices.
I know coaches hated it for the exact same reason, but it was more fair for the player to have that 2nd opportunity. Coaches just did not want to have to manage their rosters to that degree. They all want to stockpile reserves. But reserves should not be bound to stay if they can start someplace else.
Would he even have eligibility?Everyone expects him to leave.
How does this help teams in the playoffs ? Seems like they’re at a disadvantage because of thisI like the idea of a single post spring portal and one week of organized summer practice. Give the freshman a chance to get on campus, the guys that are already in-house the time to develop and earn jobs. Give the staff some time to really evaluate what they have.
It puts the portal at a slight disadvantage by not getting spring ball but adds a week in the summer for installs.
He was on campus today too at pep rally lolCrap, was BMckinnie his host?
If he can't play LT in the NFL he can't play RT either.I would assume coaches know if bell is going especially if they going after Seaton. I dont see Bell being a LT in the NFL though, wouldnt he be RT at the next level? Just not quick enough to handle those speed rushers at the next level
LT - Seaton
LG - Samson
C - Ryan Rodriguez
RG - McCoy
RT - Cantwell
I understand both sides of the coin. This would be my thinking if I’m him, you can take the risk of turning pro and getting worse OL coaching in the NFL, worse supporting cast, etc. Or come back a year and really fine tune the few inadequate things in his game. If he’s got a day 2 or higher I’d turn pro. Which I think he probably does. It wouldn’t shock me if performs well Monday if he snuck into the first. Dude has the size and strength you just can’t teach.Don’t blame him to strike while the iron is hot.
Mesi said in a recent interview that he’s the hardest to go against because of his long arms.

Yea I know he got hurt last year. But what about this year? I dont recall seeing him at all.Last year. He started and got hurt in the Florida game. He didn’t play the 4 games necessary to lose a medical redshirt.
Yea I had read some stuff calling him a cancer and selfish, bad teammate, etc. He’s appears to be immature and borderline clownish, but we just need him to lock in for 12 months. If Mario & co believes that he can do that and want to bring him on then lets do it. Poor guy! Only thing with him is can he stay healthy. Came into game 1 as a starter last two seasons!Personally I think Rodriguez will be as good if not slightly better than Brockemeyer as long as he’s healthy.
