Jordan Miller - 3 star - Commits!!!

Kid is giving me a Khalil Mack type of feel. Regardless, even if we pick up one of the other targets, we got take this kid. 6’4 330, u can’t teach that. Plus we have Coach Kul coaching him up, a coach known for getting the most out of lower ranked players w uber potential.

Can you imagine the reaction on this board if we would have signed a LB out of Ft.Pierce whose other suitor was BuffaloU?

Best laugh of the Day...yeah, boring life..but, Really

Actually, Shannon did nab that LB from the Buffalo area that was committed to Buffalo, so I guess I answered my own
hypothetical question.
LOL.

A poster from ITU found something on this kid being talked up by BJ Jennings:

This is what BJ Jennings dad, who is the LB and strength and conditioning coach at this kids H.S. had to say about him:
"He’s 6-4, 330 and he can move. He’s a big, strong kid, is very physical, agile. He’s a good, humble kid, very smart and intelligent. I actually went through and evaluated a lot of kids coming out in his class - if he was being promoted and people knew about him that’s a 4 or 5 star kid.”

More from BJ Jennings dad:
"Miami got the film last night, and this morning coach (Mark) Richt called with an offer,” said Jennings, who played at Florida State. “This kid, he’s legit, the real deal. I think he’s going to be a great one. I played with some really good D linemen playing at Florida State, but this kid is amazing, man. It’s hard to find kids that size, it’s very rare you find them that size that can come off the ball like him and stay low, penetrate through the holes and seek the ball out the way he does. He hustles, flies to the ball, it’s very rare in a kid his size."

Cats need to watch the film before they get emotional about stars. But then again, one needs to know what they're looking at.

your right about that

All of a sudden, he doesn't seem like a bad pickup. But two days ago? Bad, terrible, awful pickup.

I know the DL coach at Sandalwood, gotta see if I can reach him and get his opinion on this kid.

lol at posters crying about his star ranking. Now he's got a bump from 247, I'd expect ESPN and Rivals to follow suit.

Just read about his recruitment. This is what an under the radar pickup looks like

Please do. It would be very interesting. As good as the rating services are, they can't see everybody.

Finally decided to get an account on here after a year or so visiting this board.

I spent all night watching Briggs and Miller’s film. I love this kids ability to move the same as Briggs even though he’s 50-60 lbs heavier. I love his upside more so than Briggs. Miller And Nesta are big and can move like they are 260 they will cause a ton of chaos in the middle of the line.

Rivals got ahold of him and he is visiting with the big boys next week. Kid wants to be a cane. Will be ours barring a major gaffe. Family moving to west palm. He grew up a cane fan. This is a great sign. We need a kid with his size to compliment nesta. Add Chatman and it wasn’t perfect, but wound up good. I never expected Briggs though.

Listed at 6'4" 330... This is where actual evaluations by coaches trump anything recruiting services put out there.

I actually like his film.

Just doesn't seem fair. Looks like they put an NFL guy in a HS game. So much bigger and more powerful that it seems effortless. I would have loved to see him in one of those all-star games against top competition. I think he would have done pretty well. This is why it's often so hard for me to make evaluations. Often the guys we recruit dominate so easily in HS.

Yep. When you are that big and can get off the ball that fast, it simply doesn't matter if the guy in front of you is 250 or 350. You're getting by.

Guarantee if Alabama or Ohio State offered him tonight, all of a sudden his rating would bump up to 4 stars and then it doesn't seem like a bad move to get him.

Other board says coaches going to visit him tomorrow, he canceled his ga tech OV for the middle of this week and he is taking OV to us this weekend instead of utenn. We shall see.

Edit: my bad on not sourcing this

Canesport.com said this. https://miami.rivals.com/news/jordan-miller-4

Unless he really loves UVA this one appears to be going our way. Wouldn't be surprised if he committed when the coaches visit and just enjoys the OV without having to worry. Bethel did the same.

I just watched the film, not sure about what type of competition he plays against, but he definitely is better than a 2 Star rating.
