Jon beason picks UF

I think this was to fire up the team more than anything. I think he knows we can beat UF and I’m sure he believes we will. You don’t think maybe this gives you a ****ed off Trio of veteran LBs in Orlando?

Of course Beason is rooting for us to win, there is absolutely no doubt about that. Rooting for us to win and making a prediction based on whatever available data are two separate things. At least it is to most rational fans. Only a total tool would talk **** about a former player who's left it on the field for this U.

If we need past LB'ers to make predictions against us to fire up current LB'ers, we're screwed.

Of course we can beat the Gates, it can most certainly go either way. Neither team thinks this will be a cakewalk. Still, one side is always going to have an advantage on paper and he feels UF does. So will many others, so what?
 
I haven’t won a bet in years so tomorrow when I head to the casino I’m going to bet on the turns..should mean a certain win for us...I’m willing to lose a few bucks to help the cause

So, that's how it works? A former Cane football player becomes frustrated with the program and then hitches his wagon to the hated Gators.

****, had Beason picked FSU to win it would have been bordering on unforgivable. But, picking a team that has been universally despised by Canes coaches, players and fans (who know of their dirtball history as it relates to the Canes) is in fact, unforgivable!

Many college football "expert" broadcasters (former college football players) regularly laugh when asked who will win a game where his former team is involved and respond with; "Well, you know who I am going to pick ", and then points to his former team. Is there an exception to that rule? Yes. But it is rare.

Separately, the good time fan will turn on their team if they don't like the uniforms their wearing or the QB throws an incompletion, and so on. For proof of that fact simply read the CIS archived Canes gameday threads.

Yes, I hate the Gators. I literally joined the website because of Gator Tears. That doesn't mean I can't be realistic about the outcome. Plenty of Jets fans hate the patriots. Saying they thought the pats would win doesn't make them any less of a Pats hater.

And why do you think it is your sworn duty, as a fan, to point out you believe the opposing team is going to win? That doesn't mean you preclude yourself from discussions about how difficult it will be to beat X, Y or Z team, which I believe is the case with Florida based on our program being on the front-end of rebuilding. To be clear, my comment is; it is going to be difficult...not impossible!

And when did it become a mortal sin to be a so-called homer because you have a positive outlook concerning your team? You people are not Fu_cking professional, hired and paid for analysts, you are supposed...FANS! Those who belittle ANYONE that doesn't jump ship on his or her team when faced with the slightest headwind are not fans but are people looking for any excuse to criticize.

We haven't always seen eye to eye, but thank you for making me realize how toxic & negative this fanbase has become over the yrs.

Never said our LBs NEED that but the former linebackers do often remind them of 7-6 when they say anything good.

Seems like a logical opinion in my circle of Canes friends. Then I come on here and read some of the porsts...
Nothing in the word fan derived from the word fanatic does it state realism and objectivity.
Imagine a gangster showing up to hang out with his boys and proceed to tell them the rival crew is better than us . Ooh and they're going to come and kick our ***...
