Good comp but I think he will be a little stronger and more wiry.@DMoney His game and athletic traits have always reminded me of Stacey Coley. How does that comparison hold up in practice?

Can you name a number 1 wr that would even be a realistic possibility
Beck’s main problem is he will be compared all season to the #1 pick i n the NFL draft, which is completely unfair, but we know it will happen. We also landed Beck late sorta like Cam (within days of eachother IIRC)
We’ve got the spring budget in place and even though some people are not big on Beck there’s not a ton of teams with better options going into this season (aside from potential)
If we have the money and a solid opportunity then we should have a lot of options here
DK why you hate on Baby Jesus besides you liking older menHas Malachi Toney walked on water yet? Asking for a very stupid friend...
Looking at the QB landscape and Heisman trophy odds is a sobering realityBeck’s main problem is he will be compared all season to the #1 pick i n the NFL draft, which is completely unfair, but we know it will happen.
If we asked UM fans 2 years ago would they accept the #1 QB and easily a top 10 if not top 5 college QB in back to back seasons, every single one of us would have said YES!
I feel like we already did that with the transfer from LSU.Great news.
Still think we need to add a proven, battle-tested #1 caliber WR in the spring portal.
Word? Who? From what team? And why is that talent in the portal?Great news.

Where you going to get that from? There is only 2 proven #1 wrs returning and that’s smith and Williams who was both freshmen last year. There won’t be a elite wr in the portal but it might be a guy who can play and helpGreat news.

They said he a better version of Jamar Chase![]()

You wouldn't have heard if he was struggling, because that kinda stuff isn't allowed to be reported in Spring. If this kid didn't play on the same High School team as Yeremiah Smiff, he'd have been much more talked about.
But just for a little context, he was the #42 overall recruit on the composite, and the #9 WR. That is an ELITE recruit. When you're 10 spots off being a 5-star, you're expected to be an alpha in Year 2. More often than not, those top end 5-stars are the kids who are the most "college ready" (again, think Smiff), but these high 4-star kids are top end NFL prospects in their own right, they're usually just not quite into that 5-star air because they need a little more development.
It's great to hear reports like this, but I fully expected this to happen. I'd have been more surprised if we heard he was really struggling versus this. He's a ******* stud.
Yes.

They'd have easily said they'd prefer Beck over Ward at that time too. We got spoiled in just one year.Beck’s main problem is he will be compared all season to the #1 pick i n the NFL draft, which is completely unfair, but we know it will happen.
