Johnnie Dixon

If this Njoku dude from NJ is coming down here, it doesn't look good for Lane, Dixon, or Rudolph. Why would Golden waste his time with this dude, when they feel confident in Dixon or Rudolph?

FSU is gonna close with a huge class. They could get Lane, probably cook, and most likely rudolph

Rudolph hasnt come for an ov and we're been a longshot for a while. Lane has to come for the ov for us to feel good. Dixon is coming regardless and just like Dixon if Rudolph and Lane want in then they're in

I'm not surprised. Patterns do emerge in recruiting. You have a kid that has been around the program 12 times but never commits on top of the fact that he nearly didn't even OV here (and was late and tired when he did). My belief was that if he wanted to be here he would have committed months ago. I can handle the kids that leave who don't show us much interest or only give us interest late (e.g. Cook), but when we have a kid around over and over and over and he leaves for a school that he's only visited once, I have a hard time accepting that. That means we (staff, school, whoever) ****ed up somewhere. It's a shame because I really like JD's game and thought he would fit well in our offensive scheme.

was with you all the way until you said we f$%ed up somewhere. if he doesn't come its because he wanted to leave. you can't force them to do things they don't want to do.

I said that because of something I read (which should be taken with a grain of salt of course). Supposedly, Dixon was not very impressed by our game day atmosphere, stadium, crowd, etc. and that was one of the things he fell in love with at Bama and Ohio State. That to me is a failure on our part...not necessarily on our staff but on our program. Like I said...if that's even true.

well clearly those two schools have us in that area. those are two of the best places to watch a game. we can't change that about UM. kids have always known there were places with more game day atmosphere than here. its been that way since as long as we have been on the map.

Yeah, we can change that as much as those schools can change their ****-poor academics. Recruits want what they want. IMO we offer a ton more than those schools, but if gameday atmosphere is your #1 selling point, then Miami is not the school for you. Good luck being a thousand miles away from your friends and family.

I don't understand why he'd visit so much if that was so important to him. Didn't he grow up in the area and already know that about the school? Couldn't have been some massive revelation. That luster will fade away when he realizes that crazy gameday atmosphere also means crazy fanbase, cue death threats to alabama kicker.

what are we supposed to do about that oh brilliant one?? you just have to recruit kids that value other things higher. thats the way this program has always done it.

TIFWIW

Alex Gleitman says:

A poster brought it to our attention in another thread (http://ohiostate.247sports.com/Board/120/Johnnie-Dixon-24006954) that Bill Greene of Scout is saying Dixon will commit to OSU.

Gleitman checked with a close source in Florida as well as a source close to the OSU staff on the matter. Both of them seem to be confirming what Greene is saying and he trusts them enough to switch my Crystal Ball selection from Miami to OSU.

Meyer and the staff needed to convince Dixon's mom that OSU was the right place. He and Zach Smith apparently did so on his in-home this week and that was the icing on the cake.

Dixon plays in the state championship tomorrow and he expects an announcement this weekend.

http://ohiostate.247sports.com/Board/120/My-Thoughts-On-Johnnie-Dixon-24018526

He might wind up at Ohio Taint, but these **** head fake insiders and their lame sources will always keep me laughing. This **** has no clue where Dixon is going. Guessing like everyone else.

You know I agree with you there man. Bill has been good in the past with his predictions but of course he has been wrong tons of times. For me, I was leaning towards Dixon going elsewhere anyways so....

If you look closely at these recruiting website hucksters, they're game is to switch their guesses about 4 or 5 times to confuse the retards who pay attention to their guesses. Then, they claim that they're right when one of the guesses they made actually comes true. It's an old-fashioned con artist shell game to sell subscriptions and to get website hits, and it's funny as ****.

Yet people pay for this stuff. It is amazing. Maybe it isn't amazing, we still have canes fans that support rivals and Ferman.

People paying these hucksters for their fake info and hanging on all their fake stories make it pretty clear how people get conned by retards like Shytzero. Dumb runs deep.

They have been kicking our asses recruiting for a few years now, which, in part, explains why they've been kicking our *** on the field.

he replied to some dude on twitter saying he might announce after the game. might cry regardless who he chooses.

If he is choosing a school for the game day atmosphere then we never had a chance. I understand why it is a factor.. but for it to be the main factor is pretty short-sighted. "Yeah my coach is a sleazeball.. but the stadium is packed"

That's bull****, I remember he went to the Ga Tech and was tweeting how hyped he was about the win after the Gunter pick 6 and how he was going to be partying in South Beach that night. Good "insight" by those insiders for Taint
