Johnnie Dixon

wtdwyer, what is your opinion on where he goes?

I still think Miami but OSU and Bama are significant threats OSU more so after Urban's visit.

Coach Daniels you've mentioned Urban like 6 times in this thread. Why are you *** for him?

Not coach Daniels lol. Urban barely talked to Daniels at practice. I'm just providing information on the visit to Dwyer practice.

And most of us really appreciate it..

Thank you and my last piece of info from practice today is that Urban focused on another player for a while rather than watching Johnnie, hopefully Johnnie didn't like that.

IMO, this kid wants to go to OS, for the life of me I don't know why anyone would want leave SF and spend 4 years there. I wouldn't trust that coach as far as I could throw him. I'd imagine he is still thinking in the back of his mind that staying home will be easier for his mom to see him play.

As stated by others jack Daniels can be thanked.

That makes zero sense. Jack has supported Johnnie to Miami all year.

it is true...everything quoted he has stated he thinks Miami leads.

He said this on twitter earlier today. I know I know, don't look into what they say on twitter, but **** it. Smells like Scum Meyer got to him.

@JDStandAlone 10h
If you think my mom is making me stay in Florida you're wrong she wants what's best for me

or Mom isn't the reason he is staying, staying for himself

This

Tweet sounds like he's talking to OSU and Bama fans IMO

Actually you're right, when I first looked at it I thought he was saying thta for UM fans who think shes the only reason why he's going to commit but then to think that he postponed his announcement after a really good visit, he brought Rudolph with him and at least for now Rudolph appears to have interest in UM again and if he chooses us those other fans will talk **** about his mom as we all know so this looks pro-UM

So One guys opinion outweighs that of like 30? U guys have such fragile mentalities. It's pathetic

IDGAF who this guy is or what he says. I've always felt this way. Hope I'm wrong.
I'm not pointing to u specifically I'm just saying in general. There are repeated over reaction on this board habitually about any statement a recruit or insider makes about almost anything

IDGAF that Urban is a "good recruiter". Why would ANY kid, who wants to be an elite WR at the next level, go to a system where the "Star QB" in their best season in years, is throwing for 101 yards in games. Allen Hurns had TWICE the receiving yards, as the highest OSU WR did this year.

I mean if you told me the kid was a running QB, ok. The kid is a Linebacker. Ok. But a speedy WR who wants to catch passes?

I didn't need that guy's opinion to say I don't think he's coming here. I've got 6 to 8 years of never getting a kid from Dwyer to fall back on.

BULLSHYAT.

Wrong on multiple levels. With injuries this year, we were thin.

But that misses the point. True Frosh Stacy Coley shows up and is a clear difference make that UM lacked before. The difference is obvious. He is lights out the best talent at the position on the team and it is not close, and he is a frosh. There is a difference between all-world blue-chip talent like Coley and Rashawn Scott.

We are "loaded" with bodies. We need game-changers, Cooper, Watkins, etc. There is a difference. .

Fair enough, but Coley was a FREAK Phenom and one of the best athletes in the state of Florida in years. Everyone that saw the kid knew he was just the ELITE of the ELITE.

Dixon is good, maybe elite type prospect, but he's not a come in as a Frosh and just rock the world type talent. He could see action as a Frosh, but I dont expect him to be a gamechanger as a Frosh.

To be honest, if it was an either/or situation, I would MUCH prefer that Griffin qualify and get into school, than landing Dixon. To me, Griffin is MUCH more important to us than Dixon would be, though I definintely want Dixon too.

"But I've become so pessimistic bcuz of these past few seasons that only a #1 rated class by a wide margin would satisfy me".

5RINGZ being so unrealistic about your satisfaction will allow you to remain pessimistic, your choice man,

Urban has put WRs in the NFL. LoL at him being a good recruiter. He is a great recruiter. Golden is a good recruiter.

I'll never get all of the butthurt when some of these kids want to go be a big shot in a college town where the football players run the place. There's no precedent for keeping all of the highest rated players home. The State of Miami is great in theory, but even Howard would tell you that it's a pipe dream (pun intended). Local kids should and always will be the primary focus of whoever the coach is, but some kids are going to want to leave...always has and always will be that way. And I can't say that I blame them. SunLife is awful, and the fans suck. The NFL, a great education, and repping for your hometown just isn't enough for some of them. Que sera sera...

Yep. The one player that Meyer happens to have the inside track on this year just happens to be at Dwyer and play for Jack Daniels.

Im not butthurt over the fact that a kid may want to leave. I could understand him going to Bama. But a kid who wants to be an elite WR, going to Ohio State? How long can the Percy Harvin routine last?
