I doubt too many of these HS kids even know who Percy Harvin is at this point. He hasn't played in about 3 years.

Why? Kid has never been committed to us. He plays at a HS that never sends us kids. He plays for a HS coach who is a known Cane Hater and may be an actual lover of Urban. I am ticked off at Al's defense but there is not a lot to fault about his recruiting. These other schools have methods that work, whatever they are, and they get away with them. Urban is a lifelong slim but doesn't get nailed. LSU prints money, FSU has a whorehouse a few miles away and now allows rape too. Bama, well right now they are what we want to be again. Right now Al has very little room left in this class. If he holds what he has this is a game changing class. Pick up a Cook or other studd RB plus some more D surprises and it is one of the great classes. Maybe even good enough to make up for this horrible D system and coaching.

It would be a big deal to me for this particular instance. I DONT THINK AL HAS DONE A TERRIBLE JOB and I love our class. And I'm with you, if we finish with certain players this could be an elite class, if it isn't already. I'm just concerned about why this particular recruit and our recruiting efforts fell through when everyone thought he was coming here, he was around all the time and he only visited OSU once. I guess I underestimate how big of a deal Daniels is in recruiting, but coaches were never that involved when kids were getting recruited at my school. It just feels like a huge waste of resources in the end.

You don't think Al has done a terrible job?!? Are you kidding me!! He's done an incredible job wih this class! Currently the 3rd best class in the country, and most of it was put together with the NCAA cloud hanging over us, and you consider that "not a terrible job"?! Some "fans" are just impossible to satisfy!!

They do, and if not Urban reminds them real quick. Bottom line is Urban is recognized as a beast of an offensive coach. Total sleaze ball but still a top 5 coach of the last decade in CFB......
 
Wait so what was the postponing his announcement about? It seemed like maybe he stopped to see if he can recruit Rudolph with him here or many we're right there with OSU now

Because we were lead to believe he was essentially a Cane lock. Now whether or not we should have believed these things is a whole other point, but it was what was being sold around here. Now couple that with the fact that most are apprehensive of what happened last year being repeated and you have your answer why people are freaking out....
