Lots of big-time coaches started (or played) other positions before making their name at their
specialty.
Many DL coaches in particular played or started out with the LBs.

i obviously know that. I played ol and coach ol on the youth level..i can definately coach both lines as well.

Joel Rodrigues shouldnt even be in consideration for that gig considering our defensive staff make up

we dont know that. obviously we want someone with a track record but none of us thought anything about hartley and he is a savage recruiter.

Hartley was the recruiting coordinator twice before joining Richt at UGA.

You kidding? That wouldn't be selfish at all. That's be a significant boost to his coaching career; any person in their right mind would probably take it. It would be asinine of Richt and Diaz to offer it to him though.
