Our guys leaving early dating back to the NW crew have not fared well. Someday these players will begin to pay attention to the College Advisory Committee which is the group that evaluates draft positions of guys leaving early. They don’t miss very often and many on this board have a habit of overrating our players, some had Thomas a future star, based on what I’m not sure. Talked to an agent and also a member of the 49ers front office and they said about 1.5% of college football players make the league, so you better be special. If Thomas and Jackson stayed for another year maybe they could have improved their draft position but their future in the NFL is bleak. Seems to be a pretty common outcome for our guys leaving early. He and every other Miami draft eligible junior who left early to be drafted late or not at all. Joe Jackson was also cut by the Cowboys.
He sure ain't no Johnnie Cochran....If you were 5’8 170 running a 4.5 with a string of off field issues AND subpar running routes... wouldn’t you want the best to represent you to? Lol. That’s like getting caught with the murder weapon and going to court with a public defender. Not saying Pete is on a PD level... but you know.
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent”
Perhaps the worst post I have read all year. Not a single hint of Thomas accountability issues, it was the system. Get a grip, the problem we have in this country is accountability. This kid is the poster child for it is some one elses fault, and here you are pushing the same BS. Talented, Elite - of course. How did Osborn improve his draft stock with the same QB and system. Geez.Jeff Thomas is an elite WR that unfortunately went to a school with a terrible offensive system with a terrible QB then improved on that by replacing both with the worst offensive coordinator and QB of all time his last year. I think he’ll do much better in the NFL with money being the biggest motivator.
Sorry did not see this - now you are making sense!Ur right Jeff Thomas worst enemy is himself if he doesn’t overcome his immaturity issues and develop a much better work ethic then he will be out of the league real soon but I think he still has a lot of potential.
Prepare to wait! Howlong should we wait?. Active roster is all that counts, dont give us the taxi squad BSHe'll make an NFL team, y'all just wait.
He has the talent, needs the discipline.
Hope he stays on the taxi squad and does what he’s supposed to do.
9 out of 10 times, they don't have the discipline and they don't do what they are suppose to do.He has the talent, needs the discipline.
Hope he stays on the taxi squad and does what he’s supposed to do.
I thought Joe Jackson was gonna be a beast in the league
