Rivals put out an update this morning on Thomas:

The skinny: Thomas wanted to commit to Alabama at one time, but it appears the Tide didn’t have room and now Missouri could have moved on. Illinois is in good shape and Oregon just offered, so it appears down to those two.

The prediction: Illinois

Oregon will make a push and he would be a great fit there, but he’s more likely to stay close to home now.

this makes me confident that Illinois is not in the picture for Thomas. get him on campus and we can make it happen.

Thomas + Pouncey + Smith? oooooo weeee. probably as good a haul as last years.

But the chances of getting all three are infintesimal.

we have momentum now with this bowl win and 3 of those cats were watching closely. Pouncey is already chopping up with the guys and is basically in. Smith wants playing time and thats his main objective....if he visits I believe we seal the deal. Our depth chart is much more favourable than the competition.

Just get Thomas on campus. if we do, we'll get him.

This dude Thomas shyts all over Harley. He's faster, tougher, and a much bigger all around threat.

East St. Louis has some DUDES as well. One of the worst ghettos in America. There are some tough kids that come out of that area.

The only JUCO WR to do anything here was Wesley Carroll.

LMAO. Ever hear of Eddie Brown?

Was Eddie Brown any good?

I think you're a good poster, but had to neg you for this.

Eddie Brown was a beast. We may have to suspend your Canes card for a while.

Kind of like being put on probation, but without the cloud, cheeseburgers, reduced official visits and scholarship losses.

Playing time seems like the #1 factor to him so that definitely works in our favor.

He will visit Louisville Jan. 13th and still wants to see Oregon. If he does it that way that means Illinois would have to be a midweek visit. Not good for them.

Tougher is putting it mildly. This kid is from east St. Louis - far cry from the suburbs of Lauderdale

Look at what happened to this family when they visited East St. Louis.
