Advanced metrics are nice but not always readily available on the internet.

Besides, isn’t the point of offense to score as much as possible? People tend to get really invested in stats that aren’t as important and ignore the most important stat of all, points scored. Before TVD got hurt in 2022 Miami was near the top of the conference in time of possession and third down conversions. It didn’t translate into points outside of the game against an FCS team
i used to believe that but seeing manny produce good defenses according to statistics makes me wonder. Some times you have to turn the tape on. So many things that statistics miss like how to they capitalize on momentum when do they dial up something creative. Was annoying to see our “great” defense smashed by any team with a pulse on d. sure it was nice to overwhelm teams we were supposed to beat but we always looked bad schmatically against good teams despite out top 20 defense

living proof what a dynamic OC mind can produce...... hopefully CMC knows his antique power spread needs to be revamped
We keep using this phraseology, but how has the Philadelphia Eagles played as well as it has with a run game that put up 355 yards last week with OL coach and run game coordinator Jeff Stoutland,ex Miamia coach. Of course the OL is better but I think this is what Mario envisions. In fact, Tennessee Titans and a few others demonstrate that a strong running game can make a comeback especially when the league has recruited defenses to stop the pass. The proliferation of Alabama running backs in the league further supports my hypothesis.

cannot compare the 2 leagues in my opinion, NFL pass to get ahead, then keep the ball away from other team. College ball is built on tempo, pace scoring ability to do both are effective. 2 totally different games.
FWIW the Eagles will not go far in playoffs and neither will Titans they are mirror images of each other. once you get to play offs totally different ball game......

Jeddidiah has a pretty impressive resume and obviously has never renewed a lease more than like once in his entire life until now. Dude should buy his own UHaul truck.

The reason is that coordinator A may have a few games where he’s already got the game won, so he’s just eating up time running it up the middle. Coordinator B may be behind in every game, so he’s gotta keep throwing and trying to score. Coord. B would probably have better stats, even though, his W/L record may not be as good. They’re are a lot of variables at play here. Can the OC fit his scheme to fit his talent? Is his a throw first kinda guy?
I hear that but honestly, the best teams are usually near the top in scoring offense regardless. Nobody takes their foot off the gas when it’s 21-0. If you’re blowing out a bunch of teams, you’re scoring a ton.

Tenn is a **** example. they get exposed every time in the postseason bc once they fall behind, they can't get back into games without an upgrade at QB.

AU is a putrid CFB program; good - great at other sports. Going from 1-11 to 5-7. This 5-7 including beating UCLA on the road & losing by one TD to USC, both shoot outs.

Interested to see what happens in yr 3; so far his trajectory is pointing in a positive direction.
What's it like to be on a positive trajectory??

What is this concept you speak of?

Joo talkeng crazee gibberish meng.

As an Arizona alum who grew up in sofla and went to school there from 2000-2005 I never ever thought I'd see the day where the wildcats would have a better football team than Miami. I used to go to Arizona football games in Miami gear.

Fisch had done an incredible job. He'd beat us by double digits.

What's really a shame is that fisch absolutely covets the uf job and would kill it there.

5 wins last year. 6 wins this year. That’s an improvement bro. Mario has this team on the way up bro. It’s a rebuild bro.
Not sure you understand the dumpster fire AZ was. He also has 3 games to go plus a bowl game.

Fisch would have taken a knee, he would have not have run on 4th and 1 from shotgun and ran the same running play all game.

I’m talking about Miami. I know how bad AZ was and how good they are now. And I know Fisch had the balls to stick with Fafite too. He’s done an incredible job and will be in a bigger job within a year or two.
