Jedd Fisch to U of Arizona

Happy for Jedd, despite him sometimes getting a bit cute in the redzone, dude was a solid playcaller. Not an accident that the offense got significantly worse once he left and Coley took over. Frankly, the worst thing that happened to Al Golden was Fisch leaving for the NFL. Once the O regressed, the D being a greasefire became even more evident and Golden's refusal to fire his incompetent buddy got everyone ****canned.

I live in Arizona, even worked at the UA for a bit. That program is a greasefire, mostly because they don't really try in regards to football. You have a loud minority of people over in Tucson that won't support anyone that wasn't around the program during the Desert Swarm era. I'm shocked that Fisch took the job, it's one with a bad success probability. Fisch should be good enough to get the program to 7-9 wins per year, but I just don't think he's going to like living in Tucson, I sure as **** didn't.
The scoring average went up the first year under Coley but tapered off after that. Fisch was the better play caller and game day coach. Coley knew offense but couldn’t adjust mid game. Once they went off script, they’d struggle.

Coley was a recruiter, period. Anyone can script plays. Real offensive coordinators can adjust on the fly, they can look at the game in front of them and get a feel for it. Coley couldn't, hence why he called a **** halfback option pass in a BLIZZARD, when his top end QB was dealing.

Boy you canes fans have short memories. Stephen Morris was on his way to breaking several passing records here and had us mentioning him for the Heisman before he left.
Not to mention he regressed when Coley took over.

but you do you bruh.
HAHAHAHA ohhhhh ok. I'm sorry those are all orange and green colored opinions.

He also played hurt for a whole year under Coley, but lets not let facts get in the way of your love for Fisch. You go ahead and do you.

Want to bet on how long he lasts or maybe we can do an over under on wins. Want some action?

I can never get past the halfback pass Coley called in a blizzard in the Sun Bowl (ironically). That may be the single worst play call in UM history.
I agree with you wholeheartedly hahahhaa. I mean i hope he never lives that down. that struck me as not wanting to win, but wanting to....well.....i actually have no fcuking clue what Coley was trying to accomplish there

Yeah I don’t understand where the fisch loves come from

he was above average at BEST
And that's giving him the benefit of EVERY doubt. He wasn't this play calling savant, he wasn't this great designer of plays that gave us WIDE OPEN people running free, and he couldn't recruit for ****. Think about the mess of a QB room we had and that we still have. Starts with ole Jedd missing on EVERYBODY

Yep, Fisch sucked so badly he got an NFL OC gig after Miami. Fisch made Jacory Harris and Stephen Morris palatable. Let that settle in. Coley was a recruiter with a playsheet.

Was Fisch the second coming of Gary Stevens? No, but he was solid for what he was. Frankly, had Miami been able to stop ANYONE in the Golden tenure, Fisch would be remembered more fondly than he is. Lost count how often Miami dropped games that they should have been able to easily win, merely because of how bad the D was.
Hold on what did Fisch do? He made Jacory Palatable? So Jacory sucked beating FSU at Doak that was Fisch right? Ummmm we won games since he was so great right? nope didn't do that either.

He was such a great OC that he was let go 2 years into it when he was found out as a fraud. He had the allure of the U next to his name so he was given a chance. However he sucked and was let go. Has he sniffed being a playcaller since?

But give mediocre a pass because of DNO. Go ahead you do you. Fisch sucked and he will suck

Over/under is 3 years before he gets fired. The guy is a drifter and I would add a grifter. Cannot recruit. Cannot evaluate. Horrible hire for a program that got murdered by its archrival by 9 touchdowns.

I'm sure he's learned at least a bit in the last 7 years. He was extremely green when he was hired here. There is a reason he got NFL gigs.

Possibly. You can only go up from Gray Crow.
