Jedd Fisch to U of Arizona

His entire resume he only coached at one place longer than 2 years.

Buddy is trash. Really comical that people think he was good here. He was trash and had zero feel. His adjustments sucked to.

Wasn’t Fisch the one who was a tennis player for the Crocs and never played football?
Yes. I'm friends with his college roommate and hung out with him a few times at parties. He's an arrogant ******* who didn't like Miami even when he coached there. POS Gator. He can DIAF for all I care.

Adjustment? We don't need to stinkin' adjustments. He was awful against any DC with a pulse. And that includes after he left Miami.

As I recall he's really, really good at designing plays, mediocre at calling them in game (that takes a feel he doesn't have) and absolutely terrible at recruiting.

Literally never once had him pegged as a future HC, so this is a very interesting hire.

Mazel! Mazel! I’m shvitzing! Such a blessing!

I don’t know how we get the other 129 spots, tho.... are there any more tribesmen in CFB?

Buzzy Rosenberg.

Some of you guys were not paying attention apparently.

Jedd Fisch was an improvement over idiot Whipple. Whipple while knowledgable and a good play designer, was an awful coach and people manager. He couldn’t get Jacory under control to save his life, and couldn’t get along with other coaches. His arrogance was unearned. He got off to a great start the first few games and it was all downhill after that.

Fisch may have been a better QB coach than OC, but he was most definitely a functional improvement over Whipple. He got Jacory under control, who went on to have his most consistent and least mistake-laden season under him.

Having said that, none of this is indicative of whether he can actually be an effective head coach or not, which is a different job than offensive coordinator or quarterback coach.

For his sake hopefully he’s learned a lot, including recruiting, which was a real weak spot as many here have documented.

Who or what is a Clay Travis?

Runs a sports media site, similar to Bill Simmons, Barstool, Et Al. He is somewahat controversial to some as he doesn't go with what some would call the "Conventional Wisdom" in sports, but is much more independent in his outlook. His business partner is the very candid Jason Whitlock.

Jedd Fisch with a Streisand Effect move to control his coverage. When you have as much or less actual HS and college football PLAYING time as the medial covering you, your Beta instincts should be suppressed...But he can't help himself.

This dude SUCKED while he was here. Coley was a better OC than Fisch. Same X's and O's, but at least Coley could recruit

I think this ends in disaster in 2-3 years as someone already stated above
Coleys playbook and play calling was trash outside his first 12 scripted plays. After that it was a grab bag. Let’s try this now.

Fisch was the tallest man in our former OC midget convention.

I can never get past the halfback pass Coley called in a blizzard in the Sun Bowl (ironically). That may be the single worst play call in UM history.
No.

In 2002, a halfback pass across the field from Jared Payton to Ken Dorsey for the VT 2-yard line was the worst offense play call in UM history.

Up 49-21, Miami blocked a punt and recovered inside the Hokies’ 5. MacGhee had scored 6 TDs in the game. On second down Chud pulls Willis for Payton, thinking this would fool the defense. Nope. The Hokies read the play, intercepted a badly thrown pass across the field, and ran it back for a TD, starting a comeback Miami ultimately survived 56-45.

I challenge anyone to name a worst play call.
