JB Grimes?

I would pass on JB Grimes because he is in the sunset of his career and has been the beneficiary of the Auburn Bagmen. So recruiting oline kids to Miami will be hard for him and will take more effort than he is used to giving especially when he is looking at retirement.

I prefer a young up and coming OL coach that is hungry.

Go Canes

Dude looks like Rick Scott in the future

I went back and looked at Grimes’ recruiting classes the last few years and they were not good. Lots of 3-star kids and they were in such bad shape they had to convert a DE to OT and get a grad transfer from UMASS.

It seems he’s a good teacher though based on some of the statistical improvements during his stints. I just don’t know enough about the guy to really formulate a firm opinion other than knowing I want Barry gone. The lack of awareness and technique of our line this year was as bad as I’ve ever seen.

Someone is going to have to recruit for him. Same situation as Barry. Hopefully he can coach them up better.

Auburn returned every starter this year on the OL and were blah. Can’t recruit at a school like Auburn and we expect him to recruit here? Lol. It doesn’t matter anyway, this whole staff will be wiped away after this upcoming season(at least I hope).

Somebody that can teach the position is a must , especially after dingleBarry. That was some of the worst technique , communication and play by any ol I’ve ever seen.
This right here. I think a significant problem on our O line has been the lack of development. Its one thing to get good athletic players, it's an entirely different thing to make them better.

A smart OL coach who can teach technique can mask deficiencies

And if you do get your wish, wtf do you think is going to happen after that?? You'll be saying the same **** about the next staff as well. And the one after that, until you're finally on your death bed. At that moment you'll finally undergo an epiphany and realize the importance of tempering your expectations as a MIA fan. SMH

No. An old coach on the downsideof his career from Hicksville who is a poor recruiter is not a good fit

Lashlee is considered an excellent recruiter and I don’t care how old you are if you can coach technique. Ol is impossible to evaluate talent , hence why all the misses at the position. A very InExact science.

Coaching is more of the science to that spot.

Would prefer JB Smoove tbh

Coach JB Smoove doing an in-home recruiting visit would be comedy gold.

It’s sad that fans like you want to temper your expectations. You’re exactly why this university has gotten away with what they’ve gotten away with. Obviously it won’t matter until an AD and president that give a **** are placed in charge as well.

Auburn came out as the #28 OL in 2019. Our lovely Canes came out as #100 in 2019...#100!!!! lol
