As a gophers fan and native Minnesotan who watched all of their games I’ll say that the MN DL was not very good. Their LBs and Winfield JR were what saved them often times. That game the DL ate

Even with that, we know bowl games aren't always a proper judge. Some kids sit out, some of the ones that do play aren't as focused as they should be when they don't make it to playoff or the larger bowls. One game is a small sample size. Guys at Minnesota might have more to proof than a kid at Auburn.

Truthfully the core largely stays intact but they lose their top guys at WR and RB and Winfield at safety. They won a lot of games at the hands of those three guys

They will be fine at WR and RB. The offense returns all but 2 starters. The defense is what will probably suck

He actually has a track record of being a good offensive line coach and had a decently ranked offensive line this year. He knows what the coordinator expects.

As for the age thing....some of you guys would be happy getting Butch Davis at 93.

My father has worked in telecommunications for almost 50 years. Old tech...new tech; there is really nothing he doesn't know concerning that subject. He might not get around the same as a younger guy; but without question he knows his trade.

In any case, I doubt we'll be #100 next year...which is where we are now.

Anybody can be great once. Being very good year after year is the mark of a good tradesman.
