Jarvis Brownlee note

Grades or he knows he can go in and play right away since that UCF defense is trash. Kid likely redshirts here.

Still not a good look if he does flip.

I attended UCF. Orlando is not a great city, and the surrounding location of UCF is a **** hole. UCF has a good run going with Scott Frost built. This was also a school that 4 years ago lost every single game on their schedule. They're also going against subpar competition in a G5 competition. If this is the case, why didn't Boise get a surge in recruiting then when they went on their run for several years.

I'm from S. Florida, currently live in Orlando and went to school in Trailorhassee (FAMU)...UCF is arguably in the 2nd best location in Florida (outside of S. Florida) so I have no idea what you're talking about that its not a great city...well, U might be right as far as great city but its not horrible...definitely better than Trailorhassee, Gayturdville and even Tampa...

If UCF really sold him on having a better future kids a dumbass. UCF will always be just UCF. they just gave up 60 something points to ******* Memphis. They go undefeated and everyone just laughs at them. If the U goes undefeated it’s ******* glorious worldwide.

The Hurricanes’ class may be thinning once again.

According to a source close to the situation, Miami CB commit Jarvis Brownlee is currently favoring a flip to UCF, where he is scheduled to visit officially this weekend.

Miami will get the final shot at Brownlee, who will be in Coral Gables for the last official visit weekend before the early signing period begins. The Canes look to have a battle on their hands with the upstart, in-state Knights.

Lately, UM has circled back around on CB John Dixon, who had little to no contact the past few months from Miami. Dixon will be on campus this weekend for his Miami OV. 5-star CB Akeem Dent and Kaiir Elam are other high priorities on the corner board right now for the Canes.

Random as **** but, I'm related to the Brownlees, they're distant cousins. And in the extended family, the two most common last names are "Brownlee" and "Dixon". All originating from the same small town in Georgia. None of our Dixon cousins live in Tampa as far as I know, but it is possible. Would be wild if those two were related in some way and competing for the same scholarship.

I'd like the Carol City kid in this class for sure...Don't bet against them. But if he wants to go play in the AAC and cover's navy receivers, god bless him.

Elam waa coming regardless Brownlee had nothing to do with that, now Dixon should've been first let's get him locked up

Let’s get Dixon locked up. **** this guy bro. **** the flakes. Idc if he reads this dawg if you reading this gtfo outta here go be forgotten at some ***** *** soft *** irrelevant *** little school. We gonna be good.

This "recruiting loss" is on defense, not the offense. Our defense just finished #2 in the nation overall and #1 in A LOT of categories, one of them being pass defense. **** Brownlee if he wants to go somewhere else and play. If I was a DB in Florida and Manny Diaz walked into my living room and said, "Here's a scholarship for you to play on the best ******* defense in college football AND WE PLAY FRESHMAN ALL DAY".....I'm going to my high school the next day and saying to my counselor, "How do i make the grades in order to play at Miami"? After receiving the counselor's answer, I'm texting Manny Diaz and saying, "I'm coming". And my recruitment will be shut down and no other ******* coach would step foot in my living room.

This is all on Brownlee, no one else. **** you if you say otherwise.

jalen patterson, is that you?

Jesus Christ, this board never ceases to amaze me when it comes to their naivety regarding kids.

Kids don't care how "elite" your defense is if the team is still losing.
You guys really think kids are okay with going 7-5 as long as they play on a good defense?

Maybe schools like UCF tell defensive recruits that their struggling defense is the exact reason that they're so important to the class. A lot of kids want to play early. If a team's defense sucks, he thinks he can play early and help turn it around.

Kids want to win and have fun. (which is what they're doing in Orlando right now)
They also love whatever flavor is hot at the moment.

I had a kid who was legitimately interested in Oregon over Clemson, VT and a dozen other schools. When I said to the kid..."Why? They don't play any defense at that school." His response was "I can play early and dominate in that conference."

I had a kid choose Syracuse over Texas A&M (who was top-10 at the time) and Oklahoma.
I had another kid choose a Mike Riley led Oregon State (and then Nebraska) over a Gary Patterson coached TCU...simply because he liked coach Riley's personality better.
Gemon Eaford is a 4-star defensive kid who's (hard) committed to Oregon and he has offers from literally everybody in the country.
I got a kid right now who's stuck between UCF and Pitt. And he respects the fact that Pitt plays in the ACC but at the end of the day he wants to be a part of a winning program.

Also, some staffs flat-out recruit better than other staffs. They have cooler, more personable coaches who relate to the kids and make them feel wanted/comfortable. You guys talk as if all recruiting staffs are equal and on-field performance is the only thing that matters. Some of these coaches I meet are legit salesmen.

Some of you have to come down to earth and realize that Miami does not currently hold the status that it used to. Busting your *** and being part of a top-5 defense is NOT FUN when you're on the field all day and losing football games. At the end of the day, the general consensus among kids is "Miami's trash!" I hear it all the time and I've never once heard a kid chime in and say "Yeah but their defense is good!"
Kids don't look-up defensive rankings man! LOL

Agreed. Every kid has a different reason for choosing a school. UCF is the flavor of the moment and he has a chance to play earlier there. He also sees us recruiting other CB's so I doubt that gives him warm and fuzzies.
