Jarren Williams Suspended

Being dead serious, I think Miami is better off not making a bowl game. This environment just feels toxic, also the guys have completely checked out and quite frankly, I wouldn't want to practice one more day under this current staff for a game that will have me in Shreveport around X-mas time.
It’s called pride. You can hate the coaching staff and still try to send the seniors out with a couple wins. You could also respect yourself enough where you’re aren’t getting your *** kicked week in and week out by the two star player across from you.

You can blame the coaching staff for fostering an environment where these issues continue to pop up, but you also can’t let kids get away with whatever they want. Blame goes all the way around.
These are 18-20 year olds we’re talking about. They know just how hopeless their coaching staff is and are understandably waving off and resenting the bullshyt these losers on the staff are spewing and doing their own thing.

This is only happening on the offensive side of the ball. Not a coincidence

Richt is not doing a good job coaching us. But, he is not going to let certain bs players violate team policy without paying the price. He will be out of here in a year or two but I support his disciplinary actions against any player that breaks teams rules.

Losing the program would be allowing these kids to act out and get away with it. Be mad at the offense all you want which is warranted but Richt is a stand up coach and isn’t going to let some immature players run the show. The bias against Richt is at hilarity levels.
Losing the program is having multiple players check out on you because you lied to them or they don’t buy into what you’re doing.

You law and order militaristic guys crack me up. If you’re constantly suspending guys it’s on you. They quit on you.

For yet another beat down.

I heard the vibe at practice sucks and some players would prefer this option

I'll get into this more later, but I spoke with Claude Jones(87-91 letterman) who agreed with me and said even during the 91 Cotton Bowl prep, since they couldnt play for a national title, they were basically checked out till the Texas guys(Stanley Richards and Stan Thomas started yapping). And that was with two top five teams playing, he couldn't imagine how badly checked out this team must be

Williams was tardy for practice when it became abundantly clear Richt would never play him this year? Suspension time.

Rosier can be the worst QB in Division 1 as a fifth-year senior, but kept getting start after start as our losses kept piling up? Perfectly acceptable.

Selective accountability.
Right here. It's no coincidence that all the QBs other than rosier have been suspended when there is close to zero incentive for the other guys to walk the straight and narrow. Jarrens was the last holdout simply because he's new and isn't hip to this shít show management.

Richt created this ******* mess and we're stuck with it for the foreseeable future.

You sir, get IT.

Well you aren’t the coach and tardiness is a big deal. You want to be treated as an adult then handle your business. Richts offense sucks but no excuse for tardiness or not handling your business.
There seems to be an issue with the young QBs even under Golden. I won’t throw out speculations other than we have been unlucky at recruiting the position.
Game day even said it today. Miami can’t seem to get a championship caliber QB. Even said Kaaya was pretty good but wasn’t a Champion. Pollak went as far as saying if we had UCFs QB we would be undefeated.
College game day crew doesn’t watch every snap of every game the way we do ..... that’s why they make these misinformed statements

U know y this keeps happening w our QBs in general? The respect level has been compromised.

There’s a very unhealthy vibe to this team and look no further than the constant tweets.

Richt & Richt has completely loss this team. The defensive side have been well ahead of the offensive side since day 1. The constant suspensions for not following “team rules” have consistently come from those on the offensive side of the ball.

It’s truy whatever at this point w me. I know change is not coming. I’ve become so numb w this team that I only watch games as an objective college football fan.

Hopefully by 2020, this admin wise up, give Richt his walking paper and make the right hire.

They are still adults. I’m not giving the coaching staff a pass — they have really hurt this team. However, the players, instead of trying to make the best of the situation, are quitting. Zero self pride. It’s embarasing.

yeah, and I live in the real world. I still remember after losing to WVU in 1993, Miami at that point going through the motions vs Memphis and then getting absolutely hammered by Arizona in the Fiesta Bowl - and you could see it all unfolding. At that point I felt it was the beginning of the end of the Erickson era. Some things are what they are

The younger guys are laughing at the coaches at this point. They preach accountability & effort on every play, but during film of the GT game it was abundantly clear that M. Jackson simply made up his mind to protect himself. Dude couldn’t get off a block to make a tackle to save his life & not a word was muttered.

If Gary Stevens is leading that room, IMO, guys are engaged, willing to be there early and focused on getting better.

With John Richt, it's like perpetually having the substitute teacher you have no respect for

Im not gonna blame anybody let alone 18-19 year olds for not blindly following someone into the abyss

Sure. But not every team does that. It’s all about your mentality. It starts with the coaches, but some of these players don’t get a pass in my book.
