I like this kid more and more every day.
Pretty crazy that him and Clowney shared MVP honors at the UA AA Game and Clowneys about to be a top 3 pick
Anyone thinking his ideal position now is a 4-3 DT is delusional.
And why is that?
Implying that he can't be made faster with the weight room program and weigh over 250.
Not to mention Chickillo was never really a speedy guy, he just used his strength a lot.
Chick was never an edge/speed rusher. Jackson is an entirely different kind of DE.
Chick was never edge rusher, he won battles on his strength on the line, i personally would love him at DT JMO
Jackson will be a beast, our edge rushing is amazing mccord, the prophet, chad, and jackson scary edge rushing
If Chick wins his battles on the line with strength then why have his numbers declined? Why, as he's gained weight and gone through 4 years in the program, is he less productive? According to your theory it should be just the opposite.
No one (including him) really knows what he'll weigh if he eats correctly and hits the weight program.
How do you know this? What's his lift numbers?

He's 6-4 and less than 280. That's not a DT in base sets.
Chick is a 4-3 DE or 3-4 OLB (Jack)
he is out of position with these clown coaches
I don't care what anyone says, the staff ruined Chickillo's development. Sure he wasn't a quick-twitch guy like Clowney, but he never should have been 275+.
Just want to see the staff hopefully develop an All-American or two, if they can.[/QUOTE
When is the last time we had a first team AA?

But he can play the 4-technique in our odd front?
What's the difference?
He can most certainly play the 3-technique in a 4-3 depending on what we ask him to do.
He's not an edge player anymore, that's for sure.
