Since the BCS playoffs began in 2014 the same teams always seem to be there. Things started changing only slightly because of the portal and we’ll see if this actually makes any more changes.

But the teams that have made it to the playoffs have all had one thing in common. They have spent a ridiculous amount of money over decades to get there.
Uga, bama, lsu, Ohio state, Clemson, notre dame, Michigan. TCU and Washington may be the only exceptions, but I’m sure they still have a big operations budget considering their on campus stadiums.
Tennessee has spent just as much as anyone and they haven’t made it and haven’t won the sec since 98.

Saying we are all of the sudden gonna knock down the door and win natty because Mario came here and we’re spending money is short sighted and honestly unfair.


Many in here are gonna be happy and continue to criticize Mario unless he wins a natty.

Until he wins it people will continue to say he will never win it and say how stupid we all are for even considering him as our head coach.
He can make the playoffs and lose game one and those dudes will be on here flaunting all the faults he committed and trolling the “bro fyzical” catch phrase.

Am I a Mario fan ? Of course! Look where we are now compared to where we were when he got here.

Am I satisfied? Fck no.
Do I think he will win a natty? Fck if I know!
Do I know for a fact he won’t win it? Absolutely not and nobody does.
But doubling down like Mario was some fcs dude that just got the job and was a horrible hire is childish imo.

If Jimbo fisher, Ryan Day, and Ed O can win a natty then the idea that only a coaching savant can win it is pretty short sighted.

And, listen, I'm no fan of "Texas". But they sure as **** turn out better BBQ than any place in NY or IL.

What does it matter now who hired Diaz ? whoever it was couldn’t get the powers that be to pony up the $$ for him …whether you like it or not it is what it is…

He needs to make the ACC championship game and play in a NY6 bowl. Maybe that’s the playoff and we should do that given our schedule and the ACC and the number of home games we have in 2025. Roster does have some gaps but every ACC roster does so overcome it.

this is the bare minimum. he had the number 1 overall pick at QB and didnt do it. hes got another high priced QB this year along with staff change yearly. if he cant get us past the hump this year, he should be done.

Zero chance he’s done whether that right or not. We just need this Beck concept to work again like Ward to ensure we can stay in the game because our QB evals blow right now outside the portal.

i know he wont be done in terms of a job, but there should be no reason to believe hes gonna turn it around if he fails again this year. ffs, rhett lashlee got smu to the **** conf title game before us
