Yea parents taking under table money with NIL to me just wouldn't be worth it. Nobody likes paying taxes but there's a reason you pay them because of you don't trouble is not too far.

And yet...

Look, your ethics are admirable. Not everyone shares them, though. That's not a judgment, it's just reality.

To the degree it's still happening, I imagine it's more so a result of these schools having the infrastructure in place where the bag $ is low risk. Also, if this deal goes through capping NIL then theyll still have the bag money ready to fire up at a moments notice

I mean sure maybe lol but to say everyone pretty much knows is pure conjecture and reading of tea leaves. Drew is doing his job
Everyone knowing doesn't stop or mean that Drew isn't doing his job. Drew's job is simply to get this kid as much money as he can.

$2 Mil in undeclared money is closer to $3 million. Might want to check your tax tables.

Look, I'm not trying to justify this situation, I just know that SEC schools had very well-oiled "bag" machines pre-NIL, and they didn't shut them down when NIL became a thing. So those schools have two guns to our one.

And if you think tax fraud doesn't happen because people are worried about "risk" and "reputation", well, I've got news for you...
2 million NIL then 1 million cash tax free

It goes on and it helps certain programs a lot. Cash is always king . Get some on the books money with NIL then some off the books cash. If they make a salary cap or some kind of limits it’ll give the power back to the same handful of programs from the bag days.
I believe it happens I just don't think it's a smart idea on the end of the player when there is plenty of legal money on the table that goes above what kids used to get under the table.

I don’t think it will be over regardless of where he picks tbh.

He still hasn’t taken an OV to UM or UGA. This kid has pushed back commitment twice already.

Look for this to play out well into season.

Didn't he JUST take an OV to UGa?

How is it "kinda a half truth".

He was committed to Taint all along, even when Miami was the high bidder. He had every chance to flip publicly and never took it. Taint made the highest NIL offer they've ever made to a HS recruit, and Smith was happy to take it.

"A takeout bid". Sure. Whatever.

Smith liked Hartline, he liked Taint, he was committed for a while. Smith didn't like Smith and didn't know about Ward. Yes, Smith needed comparable money from Taint, and he also never gave us a chance to raise the price again. Besides, he was more concerned with getting the offer in writing, which is how Miami almost got a second bite of the apple.

And "we had the highest offer" is simply not true. Taint's offer the night before Signing Day topped ours.
We got finessed. OSU upped his bag to over a mil. So yes you’re right, they had the biggest offer at the end bc we didn’t get to counter…

My point is, we didn’t recruit CJ Bailey until the end. If we have him onboard, treated with respect and treated as a priority, no doubt JJ + the offer we had makes him a cane. But we didn’t, we went with Judd the dud Anderson.

Time to stop bull****ting and get some blackmail on his parents. Threaten to post some nudes of mom and he goes from Bulldog to Hurricane real quick.

(Just kidding for the pussies out there) Not kidding for the G's.
How could you? He’s just a kid and his parents seem like lovely people. Y’all need to get a new hobby, this is getting crazy, it’s just a game.

There’s no need for you to ever stoop this low*

*unless you got some dirt, then I’m in.
