UOV i believe?

As if the OV is any different, under the current system. He was there for 2.5 days. And he was paid to be there, so it's six one-way, half-a-dozen the other.

People acting like there is some differential between a long unofficial and a regular official for a blue-chip recruit are living in the 1990s.

This is over guys. Mario went 0/2 for 5 star OTs. Disappointed not to get one of them, ah well what can you do

i dont disagree but im just saying tech it was a UOV.

We got finessed. OSU upped his bag to over a mil. So yes you’re right, they had the biggest offer at the end bc we didn’t get to counter…

My point is, we didn’t recruit CJ Bailey until the end. If we have him onboard, treated with respect and treated as a priority, no doubt JJ + the offer we had makes him a cane. But we didn’t, we went with Judd the dud Anderson.

I don't disagree on Bailey. I wanted to recruit him much earlier.

And whether we call it "finessed" or some other term, Taint had the high offer. Even if they "eBay sniped" us at the last minute.

Have to think if Mario had just made the playoff last year, he’d be on equal footing with Kirby and UGA.

Still wouldn’t be close but yes an ACC championship and playoff would go a long way. Complete collapse at the end of the year.

Going into year 4 and still more questions than answers. I never thought a kid from the Midwest was coming to Miami even though he was a silent commit a month ago. If he wanted to be a Cane, he would’ve committed in April.

I’ll be absolutely shocked if he picks Miami tomorrow.

If he does end up pick us, id expect little to no info come out from anyone on it. Absolutely no need for it to be public and get back to UGA

Wrong.

Again, the expenditure of money SECURED the "delay" and the "visits" to Oregon and Georgia.
Two different things. Miami has / had the biggest offer on the table. Kid getting cash to go on those visits kind of moot point. That’s what five stars get. Fact is he turned down an enormous amount of money from Miami, far more than the over and under the table from UGA because he believes they can win a national championship and develop him into a top 10 pick. And no matter what propaganda gets pushed on this board, the kid ain’t wrong (based on recent history).

Anyways I respect you as a poster and grateful for the debate. Just want to give you what I know.

UGA board members know it too

Plain and simple if cantwell was about money, he’d be going to Miami.
false, this is also the family weighing superior OL player development at Miami vs playing in the SEC with bigger crowds, with more exposure and having a much better shot at winning a Natty.

Thanks for the insight and I totally agree. We don’t block punts, we don’t house kickoffs or punt returns nowhere near what we used to. It’s almost non-existent now.
And man, think of the effect a big return has on the crowd at home. Nothing lights up the stadium like an electric return. Let's say you don't house it, you get good field position, fans are jacked up when Offense has the ball. Let's say you house it, now the other team has to deal with your defense while the stadium is going bonkers. There's layers to this stuff, and electrifying the crowd at home has to be considered as one.

We're going to lose 4 starters on the OL next season, 2026 is going to be a total rebuild for the canes if we're being honest.
