Literally would not be mad if we “spent” resources on the OL. OL is sooooooooooooo important. We’ve either had poor coaching, poor OL players, or combo of both.

I think we have the coach, but it’s time to invest in the OL

Idk **** about this Washington guy committed on the o line but if he’s a developmental guy drop him. We need guys ready to play game one. First need to win tho to actually have a shot at them.
He's actually very talented & maybe would've played last night if he was already here.

Thank GOD you're not in charge. If that's you're recruiting strategy the only O-Lineman we'd have on the roster would be Donaldson. What do you think we are passing on studs that can play immediately in favor of projects? Nominee for dumbest post of the month.

sure. if you don't count:

very poor tackling
bad special teams
dumb penalties
poor decisionmaking from the QB
numerous execution errors at the LB spot
mediocre play from our front 4, particularly with lack of pass rush, and
bad halftime adjustments …..

then you're correct.

Nah...OL was worse than all that. By far.

Yup. Sadly the OL struggle we're dealing with now took shape when Searels & Richt spent 3 years at Miami recruiting OL with exclusively interior skillsets. I don't understand how someone can spend their life around the offensive line and not understand what an offensive tackle skillset should look like.

No easy fix right now. Just need to develop what we have and recruit better.

And if it did, Ferman sure as **** wouldn’t know about it.

Not a Ferman apologist, but he did say Jobe wasn’t coming for over a year. Called Tyson Campbell not coming before Georgia was a big player, called Bogle not coming for almost a year, called Knighton having FSU lead for quite a while before he committed. He made the Walker comment in the middle of a thread somewhere so it’s not like he put it out there for clicks.

Nobody bats 100 on recruiting, and Canesport is probably the worst at it. However, Ferman doesn’t normally say this stuff hoping it sticks.

You can see with Walker, Miami has always felt like the 2nd place team. Maybe with the exception of the week of Paradise camp. No clue if this kid commits or comes here.

Everybody knew those guys wasn't coming.

Any chance we had went out the window losing to UF.
That loss will have no impact on any kids. But they will sure use it as an excuse. I know your very familiar with the recruiting down here but this kid walker never seemed like he wanted in.

The number 8 team in the country just got taken to the wire by an Unranked rival that made their qb look silly and their running backs look pedestrian. We were up at the half and a few plays cost us the game.
Their amazing pass rush or whatever didn’t stop us from scoring 20 despite 2 freshman tackles and a rs frosh QB. We also gifted them field position inside the 10. Add to that, every single offensive coach is brand new. There is a reason everyone was predicting a blow out.
How would anyone feel if 2 weeks from now we have to beat unc by stopping them on 4th down with less than a minute left. And imagine having to that at hard rock. I can guarantee you no one on here would be as happy as UF fans are right now. BTW I believe the line is us -6.5 at unc.
Kids like walker will believe whatever those hicks up there pump to them.
Uf fans and the kids like walker see UF as a great team deserving of their #8 ranking while not admitting that Miami is just as good while being younger and less experienced. The gator coaches and fans are spinning their close win against an alleged “bad” Miami team on bad calls suspensions and injuries while not applying those same excuses to our loss.
Fck these sell outs.
