I get your point but Horton leaving had nothing to do with his NIL package.
It did.
I get your point but Horton leaving had nothing to do with his NIL package.
Again it had none to do with NIL. Miami matched his asking price.
Someone I know plugged in at Bama told me he didn't have faith in the QB room. Not sure how true it is but at the time I couldn't blame him. Either way he gone so is what it is.
I hear you, idc about him enough he aint Randy Moss lol best of luck to him. Here's the thing.
People can say whatever they want in order to justify whatever they want you to believe.
Here's the reality. Isaiah Horton had his one good year (56 receptions for 616 yards) playing with a QB who only decided to join Miami in mid-January.
And as for his "faith in the QB room", let's think about this. Outside of Cam Ward, it's the same QB room he had all year. He's got 2 years to play. And Horton knows Nickel is coming. But instead of waiting to see what Miami would do in the Portal, he chose to leave immediately.
The Pop Tarts Bowl was on December 28th. But we were pursuing John Mateer before then. Horton put in his transfer paperwork before Mateer committed to Oklahoma. And let's not forget how quickly Horton was crystal-balled to Alabama after he entered the Portal. Or was the crystal ball BEFORE he entered the Portal? Because everyone knew where he was going.
The reality is that he got WR1 money to be WR2 at Alabama. And that's his choice.
But let's not let Horton turn this into some "he didn't have faith in the QB room" pity party. That wasn't what he discussed with the coaches, and he sure as **** didn't wait very long. Miami was obviously pursuing a QB in the Portal, but instead he's going to be playing with Ty Simpson instead of Carson Beck. In THREE SEASONS, Ty Simpson has thrown the ball less (for fewer completions) than Emory Williams had in 2023. That's not a great sign.
So, yeah, whatever. Isaiah Horton can say anything he wants. Doesn't make it true.
I wouldn't have faith in the QB room either if I were in his shoes.Someone I know plugged in at Bama told me he didn't have faith in the QB room. Not sure how true it is but at the time I couldn't blame him. Either way he gone so is what it is.
I suspect he left because he got more money at Bama & he felt his potential draft stock would be much higher at Bama than it would be at Miami.
And in that case, he's right.
Lol there’s probably some truth to NIL and him not wanting to be here but if it was my money year, I’m not putting my trust in Emory Williams throwing me the football. Our QB recruiting has been atrocious up to this point.
Isiah Horton is a stud - you're wild for thinking he's not2 years
100 targets
69 catches
4 drops
27 god-knows-whats
And for this, he is labeled "stud"???
I wished he stayed but no worries - JoJo and baby Jesus timeIsn’t Horton a RS-JR? This is his 4th season so yeah, he is probably looking to produce and go get paid after this season.
He could have done that here, but it’s all moot now.

Isiah Horton is a stud - you're wild for thinking he's not
is he not old enough for you?He certainly impregnated you for money.
Important question:
Will he be wearing #35 at Alabama?
He's a RS-Sophomore now. He will be a RS-Junior in the fall.
Horton's not going to "get paid after this season". His one good season came with Cam Ward setting all kinds of UM single-season passing records. Now Horton will be playing with Ty Simpson. Coulda been catching passes from Carson Beck, but he wanted to get paid more now because he's not quite ready to be paid by the NFL.
