The last 10-15 years our offense has just been horrible. The is the first year we have ran the spread and Lashlee has made this offense look upper echelon. So is it just the change of scheme or is he just a really good play caller/OC?

jedd fisch had gotten the most out of Jacory & Stephen Morris. When he left it truly went to ****.

whipple ball was underwhelming.

Both. Pro style is so yesterday, and I heard the announcers last night say what a good play caller Lash was.

All of it, as well as having a 23-year old veteran like D'Eriq King under center.

Will most likely have Van Dyke under center next year. Hard to think things don't take a small step backwards without the dynamic King, who is making Lashlee look like a genius.

Big props to Manny for ending that disastrous Enos experiment and reeling in a guy of Lashlee's caliber—while finally moving to the spread.

Only a Canes fan would post something this silly. And silly is being nice about what it is . Lashlee was one of the best and brightest before he came here . Now his stock is just rising faster as Miami has elite talent on offense and a top 5 QB .

But yes we were stuck in the past as well. But Miami has the hottest OC in cfb .

Your question is kinda weird but its both I guess the way you ask it.. There are alot of posers who lie and say they run a spread or they use buzzwords to get jobs that sound good like multiple, pro spread, etc (enos fooled some). Lashlee is dyed in wool HUNH spread like they mentioned on tv, he has 2 modes, Foot mashed on the gas, or thru the cotdam floor. Its not just spread, you can be spread but half *** committed to fast pace offense. Actually not alot of coaches feel comfortable running a hurry up no huddle, they only half way crooks.

Lashlee is special because he grew up in this offense, he played in it, still has records from high school football from seeing how it works and why. Its why he can call Nkosi over on a play and say hey just do this, you can do it with your eyes closed and the wr will be open in back of endzone and Nkosi goes out and throws to Redding wide open. He knows the ins and outs of the offense, he was baptized in it, Started as GA, seen how that offense works and doesnt in the SEC, worked way to OC in SEC. Struck out on his own and went and learned the dark arts of Air Raid to become strong where the Malzahn HUNH was weak, spent 2 years doing that. He has obviously evolved and grown.

A true spread guru would get results, but every spread guy isnt true HUNH. Our Pace helps alot and stresses defenses in many way. We are benefiting from a guy who has a certain mindset of if we are up 30, lets get to 50. Its a certain mindset many dont have. HUNH is a philosophy not everyone is comfortable with or even knows how to run correctly.

Both, as others have posted. Lashlee is that good, and the offense can only improve as Miami recruits better players. Add another season of conditioning and experience for the OL, and receivers of the caliber we used to - the offense might be illegal.

Or course, we need to recruit elite QBs to execute. We’ll see about TVD, and what else the future holds at that position.

Miami had a number of NFL players under Shannon, Golden, and Richt, but the staffs were below average and the results were poor. Its amazing some of those players were able to make an NFL squad for a few seasons, some more, despite the coaching they received.

He’s gonna back to back weeks of setting up the D with plays he’s seen on film. He exploited UL on that king Weakside counter look..later in the game shows the same look but sneaks 4 out on wheel for a tub. Vs FSU he exploited their tendencies to play 0 V 12 look..hit them with a double post concept, Wiggs hits his head on the Goal post.

yes the system has helped but Lash timing and setup has been great..and shout out to justice and that oline because if they aren’t executing none of that means a **** thing

Sky that's the thing, we have dabbled in spread sets a lot actually, but without the fast-tempo element and that mentality, it's just not the same. It's the peanut butter without the jelly

With the type of athletes UM has access to, the weather and the style of ball many local high schools play out there, UM should've been doing this at least a decade ago

When you say under center, you mean that as figure of speech, basically saying he's going to be the QB right?

Lashlee did this last year with Shane Buechele & a bunch of 3-star WR's, RB's & TE.

This is the most talent he's ever had to work with in his career, even more than what he had at Auburn.
