Stanford is the Trap Game? That's every remaining contest, even Stanford.

It better not be...if The Cardinal scores even 7 points, I get the feeling CIS will go pollo lococito meng.Stanford is the Trap Game?
TC also has to stay healthy until then. Already came up limping trying to dump on a vocational school.Miami's Offense is designed exactly to keep QBs like Castellanos off the field and Miami's Defense fresh.
While a dangerous runner, he eats up clock as well. Not ideal playing from behind if they can make him one dimensional.
lucky for us, the last time Beck played them he only beat them by about a thousandWe haven’t played in a hostile environment yet. That’s a big variable. Nor have we played a QB like Castellano, who btw has some elite speed around him. We can’t let that track star get loose. I don’t think they have a great defense, but at home in front of a packed house defenses tend to play above their grade. They are going to make Beck beat them.
I agree with the hostile environment take, but we have the counter for that: A physical run game. Some of the early Saban Alabama teams use to do that. They would beat teams into submission. All that screaming don’t mean ****, when you are just lining up and tossing they *** 8 yards down field every time.We haven’t played in a hostile environment yet. That’s a big variable. I laughed when he said that. Their depth on D is bad.FSU front 7 is no where close to level of UF or ND at all
Exactly. An Alabama team that was half asleep all game, and shot themselves in the foot as many times as FSU shot them. You are making this determination based on the Bama game? One game sample size?
I think we are better and we will beat them. The variables being they are at home and it is a rivalry game.I agree with the hostile environment take, but we have the counter for that: A physical run game. Why on earth do you give their front seven such credit? They are not near ND or UFs.Too much time to wait for this game so I'd like to do some rampant speculation based on small sample sizes:
I am sure both teams are going to come to play, but do we think FSU is actually good? If we are being real, the comfortable home win over Bama is one of the best wins of any team in the country to date and the offense looks explosive. But they are also just -6.5 favorites against Virginia this week (yes, on the road) and Virginia isn't bad, but they aren't good either.
Quick thoughts:
- I think Gus Malzahn and Tony White were excellent coordinator hires.
- I think Castellanos is REAL dangerous as a runner, especially in Malzahn's scheme, but I am not buying into the idea that he is an improved passer yet.
- I think their running back room looks pretty solid. That Kromah kid is a big boy.
- I think the Front 7 as good if not slightly better than what we saw from ND and UF.
- They are not very deep, especially in the secondary.
I am confident Miami is the better team.
If I had one big worry? Castellanos' scramble ability can neutralize some of our pass rush and we are still prone to giving up a big play or two in the passing game. If we keep Castellanos and the receivers in front and make them sustain drives, we should be able to beat them on that side of the ball.
Beck and the passing offense will be critical, because that is the best way to beat the 'Noles defense IMO.
