this is actually in the app currently! If you go to one of those threads and peruse around and then leave the thread by pressing the back button, when you next return you should be on the same post/page you were previously on when pressing the back button.

So I'm wondering if what's going on is the "last read thread" isn't syncing with what you read on your browser. Sometimes I read on browser while working and then when I went back to the app, it seems to leave off where I had read on the app rather than what I read on the browser. Which would explain why when I open a thread for the first time on the app, it's going to the first page because it's not recognizing the read history from the browser. Maybe?

Also, there seem to be some times I click into a thread (like today's practice thread, for example) and it's going neither to the last post I read or the first page, but some random post in between.

These are all just my experiences. If no one else is experiencing this, then maybe I just need to reinstall.

Again, app is great overall and totally understand it will require some tweaks like any software. We appreciate the hard work put in!

Ahh yeah it won’t sync between your browser and the app. It’s actually the same if you logged in on a browser on your phone and then a desktop. The forum software that CIS uses (XenForo) doesn’t have a way of persisting that unfortunately and so it’s all local.

This is a vanity stat at its very best and is somewhat meaningless but it brings me a lot of joy to be on this Apple top free apps list.

Also I think unless someone specifically posts a podcast or article, then there probably shouldn't be a Picture on the forum list.

Like if I'm on normal web mobile browser I can see 8 posts listed on eye in the sky.

On the mobile app I can only see 2.5 posts.

Like I think the picture thumbnail takes too much space especially given most of the thumbnails aren't good because they weren't intenioned to actually he a thumbnail to the start of a post.

Then there imo is just to much wasted space between posts. The like/response/link counter honestly is a lot of wasted space imo. Imo you could put a simple counter right inline/next to or far to the right of the post tag or by the /5mins ago" thing....

I want to be able to see much more posts in a list so I don't have to scroll for a while

Edit: removing thread previews significantly improved the app imo tbh. I do think maybe still next to or even below the "5mins ago" there should be a response counter. I actually think the like counter can be 100% removed entirely. It's meaningless imo

Yes I just edited my post when I saw that in settings. Its much better.

What about being able to change what you want frozen at the top. I'd like to have eye in sky, recruiting board frozen on top and remove articles and podcasts and last watched or whatever. You should be able to pin any line 10 thing to that section. Even posts that you use often (like tears)...

With thread previews off id maybe even move the post tag to just directly in front or at the end of the start of the thread title. The title already just continues to the next line so imo that's no big deal

Posts with tags take up like 1.75-2x the space as those without, and especially on the latest section where it also lists which thread it was posted in. The tag can't be its own line item imo. It makes it take up way too much space. Condensing it improves things substantially.

Putting post tag online with the thread title would make this much better imo

The live toggle looks like it'll be a big improvement to gameday boards. I will suggest a few things that could maybe be improvement to it

1. Quoted posts should automatically be fully collapsed when in live mode. There is too much space being taken up from people quoting posts. Making it so you have to click to expand to see what was quoted would be nicer. Especially cause when live it's a lot more short messages.

2. There should be a permanent frozen reply box at the very bottom instead of having to go to a new page in order to reply. (Basically try to mimic discord in this aspect).

I legit thought I was already using an "app" this entire time. I guess I just had the mobile version of the site saved on my Home Screen.

This might be the most Boomer thing I've ever done.

I have the site saved on my bookmarks bar and also frequently leave it open on both my phone and laptop. I can’t tell you how many times my 8-year old has picked up my devices, started reading here, and then said, “hey mom, what’s a [insert random thing a degenerate canes fan said on here].”

Anyone else's premium subscription suddenly go away? I'm seeing ads all the sudden and I don't see the premium next to my name, even though in the upgrades section it says I have the upgrade purchased.
