Interesting Manny quote on the Joe Rose show

Thank you, Some people will try to find Anything to be negative About if it's not what they wanted. All jokes aside this board is becoming the biggest bunch of crybabies and negative *** comments. Maybe the kids down there see how much some of act like Y'all have a pad on every day and just ***** like women that they don't want to play for sissy *** whining fans. Thank you to the OP'S that give opinions objectively. All y'all with that other bs start Y'all a crybaby thread and just ***** in that thread for da rest of your time here. The man ain't even pick a staff yet and all the experts got something to cry about. This slurper that slurper maybe some OP's on here are just real hurricane fans and want the team to win who ever the coach is like real fans and don't complain all da dam time cause it ain't who you want. CMR is gone it's a new beginning wait until y'all experts crybabies really have something to ***** about b4 you start *****ing dam. The Op's who keep it real 💯keep up the good work.
The board was such crybabies it was right about richt and the crying helped get him out of here, but here you are tossing shade at people who actually knew what they were saying. I suppose you’d prefer more cheering and we’d still have alfraud gluten as hc.

I’ll be excited if he simply sets as a priority actually filling our roster.

This has been one of the most frustrating things for me. We've been able to have a full 85 for a few years now. Between transfers and Juco players it blows my mind that we are still so under the limit. Squad up!!

Don’t say anything halfway critical about the program bro or you might hurt these softass slurpers feelings

Geez, people are making it sound like Manny is gonna turn UM into Kansas St.

I didnt his comment to sound like that, at all.

but it's naive to think that every good program isn't looking to consistently improve the roster by any means necessary

What’s there negative to even say, mane? I mean, we’ve competed, right? The other teams guys are on scholarship too. They have better facilities than we do. People shouldn’t expect us to win every game. It’s a process. We’re on the golden road to a title mane.

If Manny can spit that same game on the recruits like he did with estrogen Flake James watch out

His comment about “how they moved quickly out of respect for both sides” is pretty telling why this was a quick search. Manny had the leverage and didn’t want to string out Temple.

Look at our recent track record with grad transfers-- Adrian Colbert, Marquez Williams, Dee Delaney. Those guys all made the NFL. Tito Odenibgo could be headed there, as well.

Exactly. We have direct evidence of how vital this is to a program's fortunes

Miami has an extremely young roster with 14 (RS 7)Sr, 10 (RS 1)Jr, 38 (RS 11)So, 24 (RS 9)Fr=86.

This accounts for the 15 kids in '19, Butler kid, plus Boulware/Homer leaving. Milo, Brown, Mahoney can kick rocks if we can upgrade QB, OL, DL buying Miami another year of development for the massive Sophomore class with 38 kids. Wouldn't mind seeing Knowles, Dykstra, Hillery, Weldon, or kids that aren't Miami material given the sign to leave. It all comes down to keep the good kids like Jeff Thomas, Homer, Shaq, Joe Jackson, Pinckney... while pushing the bad kids out.

Crazy to think that Miami is in a position to finally get to 85 kids and the GT market is how we can do just that.

When discussing the class, he said "We don’t have to be in a situation that we just grab whatever is left on the shelf. The transfer game is going to be a bigger and bigger thing as time goes on.”

This is a key quote. Miami needs to focus on the transfer market the same way Coach L does for hoops. It can become a major competitive advantage.

We are an attractive transfer destination. Kids want to play in the sunshine. Look at our recent track record with grad transfers-- Adrian Colbert, Marquez Williams, Dee Delaney. Those guys all made the NFL. Tito Odenibgo could be headed there, as well.

Transfers are more physically developed and often come in with something to prove. If the character checks out and the talent is there, bring them in.

Think: alvin kamara. He is right about this.

The overreaction to this quote is predictablely dumb. The transfer market is basically like college FA now. Smart to plug gaps of even grab a stud like Fields. He’s showing he’s ahead of the curve.

Honestly, the fact we hired Diaz NOW instead of making a new HC hire a year from now, I'm now on board with getting a grad transfer QB. Because now I don't think next season is going to be a complete waste.
