In your time of watching the Canes, is Rosier the worst starting qb at Miami you have ever seen?

This. Followed by Japicky.
Nah, can't stand by any Jacory slander, he's a friend of mine & wasn't as bad as people have made him out to be.

He played under terrible systems & didn't always have the support around him. His Senior year he threw for 2,486yds 20TD's & 9INT's as a 65% passer, which shows his INT's could be brought way down with a better Offense.

Before Malik in 2017 Jacory was the last QB to beat FSU, he also has career wins vs Oh st, Oklahoma & was the last Miami QB to get a W vs Clemson.

Was he perfect, no not by any means, but he wasn't as terrible as people say he is either.

I remembered being confused as **** when I watched us barely beat Nevada because of that ****stick.

I was 8 years old asking my dad how we went from Ken Dorsey/Brock Berlin to this. All he said was “Old man Coker son...Old man Coker. I WANT BUTCH BACK!” (as he started to cry).

I was at that game. Terrible. But at least it was fuggin cold.

Marve didnt even start for us, lol.

Had an okay career at Perdue.

I will say that Rosier, so far is the worst starting senior QB we've ever had.

I’m not sure what you’re laughing about smart a$$. Marve started for us in 2008 before he transferred to Purdue. Know your facts before you call someone out.

He also had an all time corch
Who refused to change his offense for Brock to fit his skill set

People act like he wasn’t ever in shotgun, we ran shotgun just didn’t do it all game. Our running game was a power run, pro style. His Sr year was decent and we ran the same style offense, with maybe a little more gun.

The legend of him being in shotgun made him magically great is a tad overrated. I mean you still take drops and make reads. Rather if you’re in shotgun or three feet up under center.

That Florida game wasn’t him being in shotgun , we’d been in shotgun some plays in first half . He just played so god awful and had hit rock bottom there was nowhere to go but up.

Did he play better in shotgun ? Yes, but the whole him supposedly turning into Aaron Rodgers magically is silly , he had plenty of bad games , with bad reads from shotgun.

It was year five , and he was surrounded by great talent. The light finally came on.

His skill set was better inline with a spread it out shot gun offense like he ran in hs. I always felt Offenses should change based on the players you have instead of plugging players into a system.

Oh wells the truth probly lies somewhere in the middle

He just was overrated man, I saw him a lot living in Gainesville. Spurrier was begging him to win the job , Rex dominated him but the job was always “ neck and neck”.

I feel ya though , he was a better fit for a spread offense. That’s all he ran from hs up.

Granted, I hear you. However, I always list Jacory right ahead of Marve as far as ability. I am, of course, leaving out Scott Covington. I'm not looking at his stats, but he wasn't too good either.

Jacory only gets hate because people thought he was going to be a franchise QB. The guy was solid for us as a QB and had heart. Would take him in a second right now.

Could you imagine Malik on those teams? Remember that rant by kw2 after the Tennessee loss? Imagine if Brock said Andre was to fast for him to throw to.

I’d lost my **** and my hair sooner if I dealt with Malik instead of Brock. And Brock caused me quite the ****.

considering the talent on this team, Rosier should be much better so therefore I'd consider near the bottom if not the worse ever.

I'm 100% with you. J12 was in no way an "awful" qb. His overall completion rate was 60%, and career passer efficiency rating was 135. His career was disappointing, but that might have a lot to do with who his HC was. In the right offense, he could have been an outstanding college qb. Instead, he was in a jump ball offense where virtually every pass had him chucking it deep. One big limitation was that he didn't have a lot of touch on deep passes (another poster pointed this out), but he was decently accurate at the short and intermediate level.

Not even close. He was 11- 0 and we rose to 2nd in the polls and won Coastal. Winning matters and I am fairly sure that is better than anyone since Berlin and better than some before Ken. Kid overachieved and is over his head but wins are wind and his first year was spectacular and consistent with Mark's history. If fact, 10-0 was Mark's best start if I am not mistaken.

He split time with Japicky, lost, and transferred after the 08 season.

He might've played 2 series against the turds.

Which is neither here or there. Was a RS freshman coming off a broken arm.

Now compare that to a 5th year senior who stares down recievers.

Relax young man. No one is trying to steal your Kool Aid. :)
