In your time of watching the Canes, is Rosier the worst starting qb at Miami you have ever seen?

LOL Rosier has done more then any UM QB since Berlin . I mean what kind of ****** moron do you have to be to start a thread this dumb. Makes me depressed to know Miami has such dumb fans. Rosier isn't a star What he is is a good QB not great not bad . Very decent is the word I would use to describe him. He will be our QB for the rest of the season IMO and I think we lose to Clemson as our only other loss. So in his 2 years he will have won 10 and 12 game and won 2 coastal championships NOt bad at all. Next season It is a 3 man race for his replacement.

It’s closer than you think. Freeman completed 45% of his passes at Miami. Rosier is at 53% however over his last 9 games he has completed 48%.

Rosier gets a lot of rope to hang himself for what he did from the Toledo game through the Notre Dame game.

Freeman has like one game in his career where he had more TD than INT...and it was the Nevada game we lost. Fvck that guy.

I've been watching Canes QBs since George Mira in the early 1960s. Rosier isn't even close to being the worst. With the exception of Jim Kelly in 1979, Rosier is better, for example, than any UM QB to play in the entire decade of the '70s.

Not sure I agree. He's pretty damned bad. I'd take EJ or Kary Baker over Rosier.

I was going to post the same thing, although I go back to the late '60s. I was kind of amazed nobody posted the theme before you did.

Freeman was worst of the recent guys. But the early '70s were particularly brutal...guys like Hornibrook and Cochrane, although Ed Carney was gutsy. Then we tried athletic types like Kary Baker and E.J. Baker. Frank Glover was more of a pocket type and not a disaster. He was the one I liked best from that era until Jim Kelly showed up against Penn State and totally changed the complexion of the program within 15 minutes.

Miami actually beat Nevada in the MPC Computers Bowl. I know, because I was there. That said, Rosier and Freeman are pretty much the same guy, the only difference is that Rosier is working with better surrounding talent, and is still awful. That's the pathetic part. Lance Leggett most likely wouldn't see a minute of PT here right now, he was a primary target then.

i blame whipple more than harris. whip's offense was predicated on that deep ball threat despite jacory having the touch without the strength. fisch made jacory look pretty decent for a year, minus the bc game.
We will never know how good Harris could have really been. Our OL during those years was among the worse ever for the program. Harris got sacked or otherwise whacked so many times that it permanently affected his game. He knew how to get the ball into the hands of his playmakers. And i will never forget the time he played on basically one leg. With his heart and talent plus a good OL he could've been as good as Dorsey.

Kirby Freeman. Dude was 1-14 in a game and actually threw more INT's than completions. He gets a little credit for closing his eyes and completing a prayer to beat FSU but man he was bad.

He was and I don't remember many performances worse than his, if there ever was one. I still think he would be as good, not better though, as Rosier on this team. VT game, UNC game last year never seen a qb play so awful yet get bailed out all the time.
