First of all, people were losing their minds over Jimmy's first year (including Jimmy, who fired majority of staff).

Second of all, Uncle Luke, along with 95% of Miami fans, wanted Butch fired. They flew banners, and Luke himself said, "Butch took us from champs to chumps."

And this is despite the fact that we had 30 schollies revoked (Taggart has no sanctions - in fact, he has top 5 recruiting classes on roster).

I'm in the base that says Taggart deserves time to turn it around. It's unrealistic to expect anyone to have the pieces in order after 3 games. (especially when his system is vastly different from Jimbos). I don't know if he'll be a good coach, but he definitely deserves time - which he will be given.

So is Chad Morris, but of course racists would pull every extenuating circumstance out of their @$$es for why He went 14-22 at SMU.

But Luke's wrong on JJ though, I remember their being outrage when He was first hired, and after that first season when He 8-5 with a team that won the NC the year before.

Real talk, given the fact JJ had a mediocre record at OSU, and the fact He never beat OU & NU, He wouldn't have gotten an upgrade job today with that resume.
 
1) LOL at nobody asking for JJ's head after the 8-5 season. There was plenty of grumbling, JJ has spoken plenty about the assistants he had to keep. This was the BC Hail Flutie and Maryland Frank Reich freaky second half comeback year. Literally 2 plays from 10-3 but whatever you say Uncle Luke

2) I hope Willie stays at FSU for 3 years, as it would take another coach at least 3 years to undo that sort of damage, that's a half decade of stupidity and no guarantee that the next coach would be elite either. They simply cant buy him out, not this year no though the next, no matter what you hear. After their last game is played next year, I think they are off the hook for a good portion of it, but you would have to ask the FSU AD money people. I hope that ****** stays there 5 years.

The SEC is in the Jim Crow era when it comes to hiring qualified AAs for HCing positions...and no, Vanderbilt doesn't count.

I can name 3 jobs that Charlie Strong would've been a great fit for during last year's coaching purge.

Dude I’m referring to what uncle Luke said and what taggert is, taggert just isn’t a good coach and it has nothing to do with race.

If you want to talk about strong depends which schools you’re talking about, Strong was very underwhelming at a big school in Texas. I think this will be his rebound year at USF for the next couple seasons for him to land another big job ... he’s already doing a good job there only a matter of time. My assumption is I don’t see a school hiring him right after 3 years of 16-21 at Texas just saying man.
 
The race card is inserting a major double standard. Is Willie being judged unfairly because he's black. Are we not here skewering Rickt even after a 10-2 season though he's white. Who gives a fvck about his color?? How about performance.

Riiiight, yet Arkansas hired Morris with a 14-22 record...and He just got His *** ***** slapped by North Texas 44-17.

If Dino Babers were white, He would have a HCing job at a top tier P5 school right now.

I have always liked Shannon don't care about color. IMO he has already succeeded just not as a head coach. Not everyone is cut out to be the top dog. How many great college coaches do we really have out there? Not very many. He was a very good D coach for us, that's all that matters to me. JMO
 
Look, we all are reasonable enough to know the only color that matters here is green.

Willie is a corch. I don't care if he's purple. If he goes 4-8 with that roster he would deserve to be terminated.

Given my love for the canes I am happy to make a bs cry of racism here. Not only that, but to ensure social justice after a decade of coaching the Noles I want his successor to be Tyrone Willingham. That's just the type of humanitarian I am

It's an ole boys network. Even at the public schools up north, it's the same deal.

Babers should be on everyone's list. If any AD of a disappointing teams doesn't know babers name, they are ****. His teams come to play.
