IMO our biggest area of "need/weakness" is a playmaking FS/S

Jaquan Johnson had an opportunity to put his name next to those who have made HUGE plays in rivalry games & he just plained dropped it.

He had 95 yds of clear daylight in front of him. You HAVE to make that play ala Mr. Mo Sikes against florida.

Every dominant team, has always had an All American type playmaking safety.

We getting that next year. What we really need is a better front 7 against the run.

Ehh. It's an adequate group. If Joe played the run better I'm not sure there's a better group in CFB.

I disagree, guys were in position to make plays all game & simply missed, filled the wrong hole, or went for kill shots. Hello #53 .

+1 When I saw that play, I thought that extra step or burst is what differentiates good from great. It's a pretty small difference but it makes all the difference.

The crazy thing is that it looked like he didn't have to move that much to get it smh.

I’m really not sure, but the few names that have been mentioned (Jenkins & Bush) weren’t ball hawking safeties that could take it to the house.

Jobe & Hall are both those types. Smith & Carter both lay wood, but can they pic 6 it?

To be fair to JJ Blackman threw heat. if the ball was thrown like grossman he picks that.

For the guy that mentioned step/burst, I don't think that was the issue. He just needs to catch the ball.

Watch the TE on that play. Turned Shaq around like. Jimbo came right back to him on the next play.

I think you've forgotten how good Bush was, despite being in the worst defensive scheme ever:
