I'm Rooting for Losses

Not sure how many was around when Butch Davis was coaching...but he was hated...If there was a Cane Insight Page back then... The hate would have been the same way or worse. I believe that is one of the reason he left LIKE he did...but now the same spirits are worshipping him... But as always, that 99' FSU game was the barometer, and that game right there told me we weren't too far away. But me personally, I was working 2, sometimes 3 jobs during that time...had a young family to help take care of...didn't have time to gauge the Butch Hate Meter.

So in summary, NO, I wasn't calling for Butch's termination then.

I think dik72 is full of ****.

Been an adult fan for 35 years. Got a ten-year-old.

Then argues that being 20 has nothing to do with "grown."

Typical Golden fan.

Wow you really are as stupid as you seem. I said I've been a fan for over 35 years. You're "grown man" qualification is meaningless and worthless, given you are supposedly a "grown man" but don't act like it.

No. No. You are the one who suggested you've been a fan longer than most posters have been alive - and as you dribble out information - you're proven to be full of ***t.

The "grown-assed man" was merely a calibration point +/- two years @ 20 years of age. You stepped around that number, but your ten-year old son busted you out, especially when you suggested you were a big fan, supposedly as a grown man, for 35 years.

Thus, the evidence piles up that your claim is an outright lie, intended to elevate you somehow over others here.

Now you're dancing around. "You're (should be spelled Your) "grown man qualification is meaningless and worthless, given you are supposedly a 'grown man' but don't act like it."

I can thus qualify that you're full of ****.

I was responding to the idiot who claimed that the only fans who don't support the childish temper tantrums must be "new" fans. So I pointed out that I've been a fan longer than many here have been alive. Given that there are a lot of younger fans here, my 35 or so years of fandom most certainly is correct. As for your stupid "calibration point", it is baseless and worthless, thus I ignored it. I couldn't care less what YOU think is the starting age for "real" fandom, you aren't qualified to make that determination. That you are so caught up in what you think is a "grown *** man" is your issue, not mine. Again, I'm sure you're older than 20 but you have yet to act like a grown *** man.

Crawfishing now.

This is actually a pretty insightful glimpse into Goldens recruiting pitch:

"Butch Davis was hated at one point. He had sanctions, just like me. He had a banners, just like me. Fans don't know football. They respond to Ws and Ls. Larry Coker coached the greatest team of all time, and look at how he went out. We're building champions." Etc.

Wow, now attacking and belittling the parents of star recruits. How much do the 'Noles pay you for your services?

dk72. You are probably a proponent of campaigns against 'micro-aggressions' aren't you?

No, I just believe in treating people with respect. Especially someone like UKnowWhat that has been very open, honest, and has provided interesting insight as a parent of one of the nation's top recruits. In no way, shape, or form does a real fan of a team attack a recruits parent for supporting his son's decision to come to the school you pretend to be a fan of.

If I had a child that was a D1 recruit I'd probably suggest he didn't go to Miami under Golden.

And I'd hardly call that an 'attack'. I'm sure the parent hears more BS at work than what Dynasty said.

When you state that someone is "trying to talk common sense" into someone else, but implying that they shouldn't even bother wasting the pixels because the parent is supposedly so dumb he'd let his son come to UM, that certainly is an attack. Regardless, Shaq's father know a **** of a lot better than any one of you what is going on with the program, and what's best for his son.

Or maybe, just maybe, he's committed to Miami and not Gordon. I know, it's impossible to support the school and not the staph, so says the mob

I'm rooting for our idiot fans to jump ship. I hate Golden as much as all of you, but how do you root for your team to lose?

Get thicker skin. No one is above reproach.

I truly understand the position some of you guys are taking Rooting for Loses... i totally disagree.. but respect the opinions of others... but for the guys that are rooting for loses understand the loses will hurt recruiting for YEARS ... and it will not make a difference who is coaching...UM will be taking a$$ whooping from the likes of FAU.. We can't cut off our nose to spite our face... thats my opinion.. and we all know what they say about opinions...there like butt holes eveyone has one and don't think theirs stink...

Has absolutely nothing to do with being "above reproach". It has everything to do with a completely fake fan criticizing a recruit's parent for having their kid come to UM. That's not the action of a fan, period. Like I said, the parent knows FAR more about the program, and what's best for his son, than some complete nobody like Dynasty who's sole skill is to throw tantrums like a child.
