I'm Rooting for Losses

If I had a child that was a D1 recruit I'd probably suggest he didn't go to Miami under Golden.

And I'd hardly call that an 'attack'. I'm sure the parent hears more BS at work than what Dynasty said.

When you state that someone is "trying to talk common sense" into someone else, but implying that they shouldn't even bother wasting the pixels because the parent is supposedly so dumb he'd let his son come to UM, that certainly is an attack. Regardless, Shaq's father know a **** of a lot better than any one of you what is going on with the program, and what's best for his son.

Get thicker skin. No one is above reproach.

Has absolutely nothing to do with being "above reproach". It has everything to do with a completely fake fan criticizing a recruit's parent for having their kid come to UM. That's not the action of a fan, period. Like I said, the parent knows FAR more about the program, and what's best for his son, than some complete nobody like Dynasty who's sole skill is to throw tantrums like a child.

Sometimes in America people just express their opinions, almost as if it's a fundamental right.

Good thing people like dk72 are around to remind everyone that opinions are bad, and to fall in line.

We can't cut off our nose to spite our face... thats my opinion.. and we all know what they say about opinions...there like butt holes eveyone has one and don't think theirs stink...

We are already losing to the 'mighty' Cavaliers, the 'mighty' Panthers, the 'might' Blue Devils, etc., etc., etc. Al Golden is even in ACC games since he has been here. The losses are already here. Will be here. Recruiting has already been impacted. What you are proposing will happen is not a future scenario. It is here already.

And a few more seasons of Golden will only expend any brand equity we have left.

You're entitled to your opinion, I'm entitled to mine. Act like an ***, get called out for being an ***. Dynasty and his little sycophants like you are the ones willing to attack a parent and tell him how he should be raising his son.

At this point, if you're rooting for wins, you're probley either a horrible person who does not care about the program, or a racist. Take your pick.

Wow. Tone down the rhetoric.

Also, 'lulz' at 'parents know FAR more about the program'. I don't need to see how my McCheeseburger is made to know the final product is ****.

dk i appreciate your support... no need to worry..like someone said earlier about tough skin... my skin is tough... I've been a UM fan since my homeboy Kenny McMillan was QB...(proceeded Jim Kelly) supported the team through the valleys and the peaks... never once wanted them to lose... I've said at least a hundred times over the years that I would never watch UM football again..and each time i said ..was a lie because i still support them today... the team is a whole that is made up of components players/coaches etc. I feel you can't support the whole without supporting its components...do you have to like them ...no... can you lay claim that one has an negative effect on the ... ok ... but the sum of the components equal the whole... i can't cut off my ugly nose to improve my pretty face...

Criticizing someone for letting their son go to UM is most certainly telling someone how to raise their son. As for your next post, yes, parents have FAR more insight into the program than some nobody whiner on a message board. With a child who is a high level recruit, such a parent has had more exposure and knows more about football than you and your tantrum throwing friends combined.

No problem. It's not even so much specifically about you, but the entire mindset of "fans" who would go so far as to attack a parent of a top recruit who is committed to the school. That is the very antithesis of what it means to be a fan, and frankly, a decent person. It's basically someone throwing a tantrum and saying "if they aren't going to do things MY way, I'm going to do whatever I can to just destroy it."

And what did that insight provide to a certain player's mother who decided to respond to these whiners only to see the season result in 6-7? What will this insight provide parents this year that will have any impact on the performance on the field?

I hope Uknowwhat's son does great here or anywhere else he decides to go. Don't mistake that. But don't pretend that his, his son's, or anyone else's insider knowledge means anything beyond seeing how your McNuggets are made before they are handed to you by incompetent employees who want more money.

I agree with this... I think at this point in the game... I'm only hearing what they want me hear (recruiting) which in some cases can be worst than the truth. My Army recruiter didn't tell me anyting about some of the **** I had to endure once I put on the boots. But I have to say what I am hearing from the staff I completely agree with. That being the kids are buying into the program.. I've talked with Tracey, Stacey, Mark, J.Young, Cager, AQM, Chad and others... and hear tones of the same things I'm hearing from the staff. But once Shaq is there I will have an inside source.

I truly understand the position some of you guys are taking Rooting for Loses... i totally disagree.. but respect the opinions of others... but for the guys that are rooting for loses understand the loses will hurt recruiting for YEARS ... and it will not make a difference who is coaching...UM will be taking a$$ whooping from the likes of FAU.. We can't cut off our nose to spite our face... thats my opinion.. and we all know what they say about opinions...there like butt holes eveyone has one and don't think theirs stink...

That's a load of horse crap. All it takes is one real coach and Miami will be pulling in top 5 classes every year.

Would you be so kind as to make a checklist of the do's and dont's for "real fans"?

It would help the guys like me that aren't sure where the **** you are coming from.
