Not sure how many was around when Butch Davis was coaching...but he was hated...If there was a Cane Insight Page back then... The hate would have been the same way or worse. I believe that is one of the reason he left LIKE he did...but now the same spirits are worshipping him... It wasn't pleasant times when he was losing...banners flying calling for his head...But as a Hurricane fan i aupported fairhfully hoping for better times never ever wanted to see the Hurricanes lose under any circumstances..I'm the same way now and will be the same way with the next guy at the helm of UM football.

I'm rooting for a contradiction - an undefeated Miami season with their 6th (should be 7th) national championship AND Golden and staff getting terminated.

The first, unfortunately, likely won't happen. The latter, quite likely will. I just hope our next coach is a difference maker. We sorely need one....

I had a nice sojourn away from the board, but with the season nearing, I'm back.

It's become that special time in a failed coaching regime where the best thing that can happen for the long term health of the team is for the results to be so poor that a new regime is brought in.

This is the least excited I am for a 'Canes season since '07, and I'm significantly more indifferent now than I have ever been.

I love our players, and hope they have a tremendous amount of success in life on or off the field. But I love the Miami Hurricane Football program a lot more than any individual player. And the only way we will get our program back is if we get rid of this joke coach and his joke staff, and bring in an elite replacement. To ensure that happens, I believe we need to lose 6 or 7 times this year.

The U that I fell in love with is dead. Rooting for losses is rooting for the resurrection of our once great program.

No end game. Said many times since last year, if we don't get to the ACC championship Golden should be let go. But I don't cheer against my team to lose, ever. I also don't believe in throwing toddler-like tantrums and lying to make a point. Golden has not lived up to expectations thus far. Doesn't for one second excuse the endless stream of BS, lies, personal attacks, and making every single thing he does sound bad, even when every coach in the nation does it. Bottom line...grow up.

And you feel this way with a current commit coming to the school. I am not a fan of Al Golden, but you didn't let us losing on the field affect your relationship with the staff, or your son's ability to play for this coach if he is here. I will support whomever the next administration hires, just like I have support Golden.
