I'm getting that "Here we go again" feeling...

To play devil's advocate to anyone saying we don't have an offensive line, Bill Belichick hasn't had a good offensive line in years but ALWAYS has a top 10 offense. Not to compare a CFB and NFL HCs but the point is good/great coaches find ways to mask their deficiencies.

Last night should be extremely alarming for anyone with a brain. Some people saw the early signs of the defensive woes under Golden. Others refused to see them.

We are at the same point now.
This. Same ****, different coach. This time it's the offense.

Just like we should never have 2 gapping DL at miami, we should never be under ******* center with the weapons we have at Miami.
Archaic offense that needs to die.

This is what happens when a school puts a premium on a coaches good guy image over ability.

Considering that he just had his bell rung hard enough to get a (back) tooth knocked out a few plays before, I'm willing to give Kaaya a break for the pick in the end zone. Obviously, it was a terrible decision and worse throw, but at least I understand why it happened. Let's not forget that he made an inch-perfect throw to tie it up at the end -- if that throw isn't an absolute dime, no one is talking about the extra point.

The biggest issues were blatant drops by wide receivers, very vanilla play calling (why so many dive plays on our second-to-last drive), and most of all, the fact that our OL was getting manhandled on virtually play. Questionable refs (chain crew, targeting, etc.) didn't help at all.

There's no doubt whatsoever that we should have won this game. I don't know if it's as bad as 2014, but it will certainly sting for a while. Let's hope that the defense keeps showing out and that Richt shakes things up next week.

Francois was getting lit up all night, much worse than Kaaya, yet he had the balls to make plays when his team needed it.

Kaaya is mediocre at best.

Also, this stings as bad or worse than 2014. This is #7 in a row...something that was never done in the rivalry until last night. Humiliating. This isn't even a rivalry anymore.

Even as a biased observer, I gotta say that Francois showed some real balls to stay in -- and stay effective -- for as long as he did, given the way we were lighting him up at times.

I'll hold off judgement until next week. I want to see if Richt makes adjustments and if we respond and dont fold.

This

We have have to see how/if Richt adjusts. Then if he can't adjust this year, because he is who he is, we have to see if he brings in a better OC next year. I none of that happens, THEN its time to fly the banners.

I was not Richt fan to begin with, but he has done two things that will make me give him time to see if he has learned from his time in Ga. One, he fired EVERYONE from last year, even his friend. That's savage. Two, he made babies cry by telling a bunch of them if you can't play, you don't play. That's pre-historic savage.

Anyone can lose one battle, but let's see if he has what it takes to win the war.

For how much you call ppl pvssies on here, this thread has all the makings of one

You all are ridiculous, if we don't get that pat blocked none of you would be *****ing

Offense will need to change to suit N'Kosi, so maybe passage of time might fix that.

Doubt that. Richt has never had a Dual threat in his career since maybe FSU. I don't think Richt will change he is always going to be run heavy and run the same two or three run plays. sad but true. I hope I'm wrong.

The good news is the defense looks legit. That's been our biggest issue for over a decade.

The bad news is it looks like Richt will need a superteam to win a title. We need to get used to 10-2/9-3 seasons with an occasional playoff appearance if we get some transcendent offensive players.

But, but, but......we haven't opened the playbook, he'll play on Sundays, elite potential, Greentree All-Star. Which is great if you care about Sundays more than Saturdays - which I do not.

Offense has been a problem for a while now. No one wanted to see it.

And it will continue to be a huge problem unless Richt changes his ways, which seems unlikely.

Extremely frustrating that this program can't play modern college football on both sides of the ball. First it was the defense. Now we have an offensive scheme from 1998.

Richt's success here will likely depend on whether or not he hires an OC, and what he lets that OC do. He could win a ship with the right guy, or make a straightforward path to success even harder than it normally is by dictating to him how he runs the O. I'm hopeful that the model he's set with Diaz of "You do your thang I'll do mine" is indicative of how he'd approach the hire and delegation of style, et al. The negative is that Richt took this job expressly excited about coaching again. I'm forced to realize he hasn't called plays in forever, and that's cost us our first game. Maybe he improves, but I don't have confidence in that happening yet. And further when he delegated playcalling at UGA there was a measurable decrease in results over time.

I'm kinda over the over emotionalism all around though. Less sky is falling tirades or bulletproof bravado. I'm thinking of myself first here. I'm going to be more interested in sober assessments of who we are and who our opponent is, based on results. As I see it right now, the D is making up for their weaknesses and shining in spite of them, the O is magnifying their weaknesses and hurting the team.

Nfl guys on offense (limited to those who played)
Wr-coley, richards. Maybe berrios
Te-Herndon, njoku
Qb-Kaaya
Ol-McDermott, darling, odogwu
Rb-Walton. Yearby

Inexcusable to lose last night and be so poor on offense
