If you think Diaz firing coaches...

You don’t hedge on the future of your coaches like that if they are sticking around. Enos seems for sure a goner and others too. What will that mean for our success/failures next year - who knows.

We need a great or semi-great quarterback. That is the most logical and likely patch. It's only one player. Seemingly we should be able to stumble upon one player.

The other method is to lead the nation in recruiting every year. Or top 5. That's too many players and coaches and variables involved. Not going to happen.

Third method is a great coach, which is less likely than #1 but light years above #2. Canes are not in a position to demand or lure a proven commodity. It would have to be the FSU plan with someone like Norvell, or an even more obscure guy like second division head coach or elevating a coordinator/assistant among the major schools.

There are always superior people just getting started. I would apply the Al Davis method of identifying someone ultra sharp in his 30s and giving him the head job, regardless of inevitable dismay. But our current athletic department seems too stale and conservative to attempt something like that.

LSU has been a top ten program for nearly 20 years. They have a top 3 DC in the sport and recruit at a much higher level than we do. Just stop you Diaz *** guzzler.
Well since you're such a message board badass and UM guru whats your master plan? Get the BOT to fire Diaz this year? GL buddy

its true... Your writing a coach off after his first season as a HC... Numerous great HCs have struggled in there first season. I get it you want instant gratification. Give him two full seasons before your ready to fire him.

Instant gratification?!? I've been waiting for 15 years.

I've seen plenty of failures. With so much practice, they've become easier to spot. Mammy is completely overmatched by the job and by opposing coaches. He doesn't know what's wrong and has no clue how to fix it, just like Flake James and the cadre of Hecht psychophants. That's what he's shown so far. I'll be shocked if he does the right thing in the next few weeks.

You don’t pay a guy 1 million to then micromanage him. This is Enos’ offense. Diaz thought this was a splash hire and over bid for his services. He may be having buyer’s remorse.
The HC decides what kind of offense and defense he wants. He is responsible for whatever happens under his watch. The idea of Diaz didn't know what kind of offense he was getting when he hired Enos or Diaz had no say of what scheme he may design is absurd. No offense intended :)

You might be right but Enos still got to go
No question all need to go. Not more importantly than Diaz himself by the way of firing James.
It's funny how the posters who have been around for 20+ years know that firing Diaz while keeping Blake James is not the answer. Same argument applies to firing some assistants and keeping Diaz. More likely than not he will make bad choices again. I guess fans want something done now, and they know HC's are not getting fired after the first year but assistants occasionally get fired after one year. So they go after the assistants as hard as they can.

This is an easy fix, but Miami cannot handle so much toxic masculinity

Buy him what time? The 2020 season he already has?

he only has it bc of the mouthbreathers who for years havent recognized the miserable coaches we have had until its three years in.

Manny is by far the worst we have ever hired. Keeping him costs us more in the long run than cutting the cord with this obvious garbage corch.

He has it because it always takes more than one year. He never should have been hired. They went a smarter route with Richt who turned south immediately after ND and didn't capitalize on the opportunity he gave them by retiring.

The fact that Manny's here another year at least is due to the laziness of Blake James. The only thing to be upset with Manny about is not making a change after this abysmal season.
