IF Emory Starts/Plays……

At this point it seems they have no other choice. Start TVD or lose the team. I can really see the team rallying around Emory and playing hard and Emory seems like a guy that rallies his team mates too. we have a better chance of winning with a less mistake prone Emory. I would actually like to see Emory with some Jacurri packages.

Until Dawson’s Monday weekly presser yesterday, I was 100% convinced TVD would start against the semenholes. He was asked about, and addressed the situation with TVD, right out of the gate. After some of the comments Dawson made yesterday, I’m not so sure TVD starts or at at least if he does start and is ineffective, he gets pulled and Emory gets to play. I’ve attached the Dawson presser below.

If Emory starts/plays, we MUST support him win or lose. Unless he’s just a complete disaster, we need to give him the benefit of the doubt being a true freshman starting/playing against our most hated rival. He’s most likely our future starting QB and he needs to know we’ve got his back.

I’m probabaly wrong but FSU plays a lot of man to man. If TVD is the guy they will go zone. If Emory or Jacurri plays they may go man and our offense thrives off of man coverage so maybe we can spin it against them Not saying win but compete

Emory isn’t ready and nor was Ken Dorsey. Lets use the last 4 games to help get him ready. It will also tell us if we need to add a QB in the portal. This season is cooked.

When the kid gets nuked yall will have a new pike for his head real quick.

What is going on here? It shouldn't be rocket science. Play the QB who won't turn the ball over. Miami has ZERO chance to win if they turn the ball over more than once. With the exception of a few passes all year, the QB has not been asked/had to to make unreal throws.

FSU can be run on. Williams can probably make the passes to keep their D honest without throwing directly to the opposing players.

Dawson said they mostly play man. If that's true and that's what they do vs Miami then that is to Miami's advantage it Williams starts.

Time to toss the keys to the rookie driver

Risk vs reward situation. We’ve seen true freashamn excel but more often than not, struggle. Tough call either way and that’s why they get paid the big $$$
If Emory plays he’s gonna struggle badly for sure. We likely won’t win the game

But couldn’t you just swap Emory’s name for TVD and say the same thing?

Ironically the last time we were at Doak is when TVD impressed me most. He showed his toughness in that game after having literally everything go wrong he led us back to what should have been a win

But he’s not that same QB right now

Dawson mentioned yesterday they play a lot of man because they have the players to be able to do it.
