Sorry if you’re having another bad day. Believe the original point was no one had a coach solely training QBs other than as support staff, analyst or GA designation. Yes, there are multiple coaches in a similar support or analyst role as Kuceyeski. They, too, are recognized as QB coaches & some are more widely respected than others. Believe Miami has had folks in a similar QB role, though perhaps not as accomplished as Kuceyeski. Again, you would be the ultimate source on whether that is accurate.

Thanks for teaching me what teams have. There's something called a QB coach who works SOLELY with the QBs in his room. In our instance that position is also held by the offensive coordinator. As you can imagine, delegating time and snaps might be difficult for third string QBs with a QB coach who is also the man in charge of our game plan for each week. When Mario was first hired we had a QB coach. He was in the first round of people who went elsewhere even though I personally believe he wasn't an issue.
He seems to be alone in that thought
They need to recruit better HS players. It saying break the bank but better caliber for sure. Maybe that’s next on Mario’s punch list.

We don't need rules to change to have development at the position. We need someone focused on that time with those players and nothing else. While obviously there is some teams (contenders or not) that go the portal route, there is obviously others that don't. Additionally some of them that do the portal route(like OSU, like oregon,like Oklahoma,etc)they're stacking QBs long term. They aren't chasing after a new one each and every season and dependant on that QB signing for the next seasons success. That isn't sustainable. It's not a discussion point. It's reality. Luckily back channels exist. Most of these discussions go on far before a window opens. The one thing that can't be accounted for however is who else is having those same conversations with those same players and how quickly the script can flip... I know of two QBs so far that we had agreements with. How'd that work out. As we've tried to tell y'all for years now this portal **** really is the wild west. Things change from one second to the next. Something as quick as a phone call flips the entire script. It's impossible to predict that.
Honestly the most important "training" imo is like learning defenses and the Why.
Dude said there were no full time assistants coaching qbs. I posted this list and the link earlier in the thread which is from 2024. The list dealt with the highest paid qb coaches, some were OCs, but these are non coordinators coaching qbs.
We should have some extra money in the budget.
Apparently at the very least Ohio State, oregon,Washington state & bama do without putting too much thought into this. It's naive to think QBs don't get developed without substantial playing time... This couldn't be a serious conversation. Has development seriously lacked throughout the country recently? No argument in that. Because clearly the portal is a viable option for places. Doesn't mean it should be the priority for everyone each and every season. If you're gonna do that then why waste a single resource on high school recruiting of the position because you don't have the ability to develop the position AND recruit a new starter year in and year out. Only way this is viable is if you take a multi year starter out of the portal. Otherwise your just hustling backwards.
Your allowed your own opinion obviously. But if you think everyone doesn't already have those options at this level and that they're not virtually worthless, than no offense but you just don't know better. Nor should you.
