There are 5 P5 conferences and only 4 playoffs spots. Not sure where you went to school but your math teacher should be flogged.

Which has absolutely nothing to do with Alabama and LSU.

There were four spots last year and somehow Clemson was able to make it. Of course, they needed Syracuse to run the table, right?

After beating Clemson last year, Syracuse literally did not win another game.

But if LSU doesn't go undefeated, Miami is out.

That's the level of stupidity we're dealing with.

Neither of those turnovers were Malik style turnovers. Malik would give the ball away because he's a garbage QB.

UNC made a play to cause that INT. Perry's thrown into tight windows before just fine...defender happened to get his hand in there, popped the ball in the air, and someone else came up with the INT. Should he have thrown that pass? Maybe not...but had he completed it, we'd have all said what a bullseye arm he has.

The strip sack was just **** luck

Not saying they couldn't. Maybe they would have. Who knows...the difference is, two weeks in a row now I've watched Perry nail receivers that Malik routinely overthrew, straight up missed, or didn't see period. I like our chances with first start Perry at LSU over noodle arm Malik.

At the end of the day, it's all conjecture and doesn't really matter.
 
Starting Perry at AT&T stadium first game could have destroyed him mentally. Easing him into a starting QB as we did is the right long term decision.

Suspension are part of growing up, teaching, mentorship.

Challenge is that we are slated for prime time first game kickoffs against Florida, Alabama, etc. Its something to watch, prepare for it accordingly and depth would get us thru it.
 
Most of you somehow still must think that all things are "equal" with the selection committee.

There isn't a single person on that selection committee with close ties to Miami. But there are several from schools that despise us.

You think the ACC refs fvck us? Wait till Playoff selection time and get back to me.

PAC 12 will get left out before ACC does. I highly highly doubt we get 4 undefeated teams out of the other 4 conferences. If we do, then yes Miami would be left out. That’s not what you were discussing. You kept bringing up an undefeated Alabama for no reason. Don’t change your argument now.

Most people fail to see that when there's money involved (and a boatload of SEC bias) there's no such thing as a fair shake.

We would have to win out and win the ACCCG to even sniff the playoffs this year. Our schedule has gone from bad to worse with the entire conference ****ting the bed.

So we dropped a game and we need to win out? I don't see how that "expectation" changed prior to the season starting...

Because your logic isn't making sense. LSU is going to lose more than one game. It's who they are. Bama will probably win out. If we win out, that means we beat an undefeated Clemson. Clemson has been an elite team for several years now. We get in because of beating a team with the "status" of Clemson and based on their "legacy" of the last few years.
