ICE Announcement - Potential Impact on Louis Hedley?

Saw this posted on Reddit and didn’t even think of it until then. ICE announced that if classes are online in the fall, foreign students must return home.

I know UM has announced the campus will reopen in the fall. However, given the recent spike in COVID-19 cases, if UM cancels classes in-person classes in the fall, does that mean that Hedley would have to leave the country?

ICE Article

this ice bs just gets worse by the day

Lmfao. “Racing to the left” = They’re no longer stroking Trump off 24/7; now only stroke him off 23.75/7.

You know you’ve lost your sense of reality when only OAN gives you the propaganda you need.

Anyone who gets their info from Fox News or MSNBC is a fool. They just want to hear what they want to hear, accuracy be damned. Anyone who gets their news from the real crazy pants sites like Daily Kos, OAN, Palmer Report or Infowars are just unsalvageable.

Stay in the green box on the diagram linked below. You have plenty of right and left legitimate options to choose from. I personally like the NYT, WSJ, WaPo, Bloomberg, the Economist and Politico. Its nice to see both sides of the fence. As long as you stay within sight of that fence!

Anyone arguing that one party or the other promotes limited government is naive, ignorant, or stupid. Each party increases the size of govrnment in the areas in which they want government bigger. Republicans want less regulaitons so they reduce the size/power of the EPA and Sec of Interior, etc. But in turn they increase the size of the police, military and military contractors (beware the military industrial complex said Eisenhower) and promote government intrusion into what we do with and out into our bodies.
Dems want more social programs so when in power they increase regulatory oversight. It is a constant swing of the pendulum which never ends with limited or smaller government. Stop listening to talking points and pay attention to budgets and spending. Federal spending has not dropped with either party in power, and certainly not with this current person in charge.
And with the current pandemic, both parties are tripping over themselves to take credit for how much money (debt) they have given us. No one with a loud voice is trying to reign in spending

Great info and very much apprecaited on my end.
I would add that Fox has certain shows/hosts which are very balanced. Not the editorial side with hannity, carlson, ingraham and dobbs; they are the equivalent of MSNBC. But there is a pretty large group at Fox that trump hates because they report the news, whether good or bad to him. I watched Fox on Sunday interview John Bolton and the entire interview destroyed trump.
Why is the NY Post even listed as news?

You could say that for about 70% of the outlets listed. The NYP is the ******* library of congress compared to some of those names lol. Sadly, many people in this country are easily duped. Plus, they have cheesecake pics on pg. 6!

I wasn’t wrong, and you’re the one that’s acting butthurt. Sounds like you’re really angry and losing control (again). Get a grip.

Also, with all due respect, kindly go fūck yourself
Apparently your reading comprehension suffers when you’re in the throes of juvenile petulant rage (yet again).

Deep breaths, buddy, deep breaths.

This ain't it, chief. Keep projecting. :)

Would you like to take a 3rd crack at this post?

As a fan of Public Enemy, every time I think of the NY Post, I hear Chuck D rapping in a Letter to the NY Post, "Founded in 1801 by Alexander Hamilton. That is 190 years continuous of ****ed up nonsense"

There’s always a reason to be a ****. It‘s what I do.

No major school is going to “online only”.

At the very least there will be undergraduates and post graduates doing some limited class work, especially in the sciences and research. Universities are not to going to stop functioning, doing important scientific and medical research, and generating research grants from the government and private industry because of Covid.

Think it through, my man.

Harvard, USC I thought announced they're going online

I failed to include P5 when I said major school, but it should have been self-evident. We’re talking big boy football, not joining Becky and Biff to cheer on the Crimson.

As far as USC, it’s “most” undergraduate classes, not all classes. So they will have some limited classroom instruction, at least that’s the plan now. That’s pretty much every report I’ve seen on it and those are their words.

To my knowledge, no major school (P5) has announced exclusive online classes.

My entire point is that this will not be an issue for Miami football. Either we play in the fall, in which case Hedley will have a once-a-week self-directed classroom basket weaving with social spacing, so he meets the criteria, or we don’t play, in which case it won’t matter.

Stopped reading huff post a while ago, but I felt when I did read they were more hyper partisan... Not sure they should be within that green box, but just my opinion.

Agree with your overall point.

Nice chart....who drew it up for you, New York Times?
That's rich coming from a paper that played a large part in initiating and perpetuating the Russian hoax and other fake news.

Lol...you're referring to Neil Cavuto and Chris Wallace who are neocons/libs.
Mark Levin and Maria Bartiromo are the only ones who are worth their pay.

Most people are stuck in the left vs right divide that is played by parties, media and establishment. Trump and Bernie, had he really ever wanted to be president, are much more up and down -- populist if you want a term. Bernie's populism has a ultimate object of typical all powerful overlord government with socialism as a method. Trump's is a little more of the founding ideas of limited government which have been eroded since, and perhaps because, of the Civil War. Keep in mind this is not Trump's movement. It was there waiting for a leader who believed in it. I was stunned to see it was Trump. I never thought much of the guy who seemed a NYC carpetbagger with a hit TV show I never watched, until I took the time to researched him after my wife decided to support him in 2015. I found all the crap he had been preaching since Reagan days and was surprised to agree with most.

We seem to have two rebellions going at once. Most of the Trump voters want to overthrow the existing establishment because it has grossly overstepped its place and has lead the road to globalism that is not at all American. 2016 was the result of that. The last four years has been the global establishment fighting back to retain power. So far this rebellion has been peaceful.

The left seems to want to overthrow the government and everything else. I am not sure why since they seem to control the government and the establishment as it is. I am guessing they are tired of waiting for whatever form of government the want to announce itself and want to hurry it along. Their rebellion seems to have hijacked this BLM movement as a trigger point and started the violent type rebellion. It remains to be seen if it burns out or blows up bigger.

That first rebellion, the 2016 election, seems to we sitting and watching but keep in mind it represents the most heavily armed people this side of the US military. I think Bill Maher said something the other day about violence coming after the November election regardless of who wins. He could have a good point. Let's pray not.

Trump and the GOP do not stand for limited government. Every day he tweets threats to make executive orders about things the federal government should have no say over. If you’re looking for a leader with ideas Of smaller government then Jo Jorgensen is the only candidate with that in mind

I did make a comment on the delta between his tweets and actual governance. I am not family with Jorgensen but certainly will look into it. Regardless of 2020, I will probably need to look for a new candidate in 2024 because I am not and have never been a Republican. At the moment I am "feeling" West in 2024. That assumes there are any more elections after 2020. No Trump isn't staying on after 8 years. I mean if the dems win they will not risk another election and you could convince me that the Republicans would go along with a power sharing deal. Again, that assumes that there is not a big time revolution against Biden from the other side. We seem to be at a flashpoint.

Not many former presidents have used their son in law or daughter to negotiate deals with foreign leaders. Feels pretty 3rd world to me

Uncles, Aunts, Brothers, Sisters, In-laws, Spouses and other inner circle sychophants are ok?

Just want to establish the edges here of what is deemed acceptable.

PS They are ALL terrible, terrible looks. JQ Adams is waiving vigorously just for starters by the way. That didn't take long did it.
