We used to raid random forums and dmoni got all in a bunch if I am not mistaken right? I still remember the '09 fitness thread.. Got in shape and never looked back until covid knocked me off but bounce back last year.. Sheesh

Wow….the 09 fitness thread was a classic thread. Those were some great times. Thanks for bringing that memory up.

This may have been on WEZ, but wasn't there a guy who started a thread about hunting all the iguanas around him with an airsoft gun, then a bunch of people got on board, then as a result ya'll decimated the iguana population of South Florida

I vaguely remember Grassy and the old Scout.com with Mike Bakas I think it was? Wasn't much of an internet person back then.

Whatever did happen to those two sites. Did they just end up as part of a merger or what?

It's been a minute. It was Eye of the Hurricane at one point too if I remember correctly. Can't believe I've been following this team for almost fifty years.

@5Ringz is still around, he is on the wez.. The original of this board before it spun off for hecht credential reasons..

@TitsMcgee might be also.. I remember the name but not sure if I seen recently..

@TitsMcgee is no longer on the WEZ and hasn’t been for quite some time. I remember when I first started there, someone mentioning that she had breast cancer and may have passed away.

I’ve been the only woman over there for at least the last two years since I joined.

Oh wow.. That is very unfortunate..

I remember seeing the MsBanky name over on wez, welcome over to CI$.. Alot less umm, polarizing but good times especially in season..

I’d love to read an oral history of what went down at Grassy. When I went there (before Insider) it was Scout and I think the purge had already happened. My first board ever was the CBS sportsline forum, which had about 15 posters a month.

If anyone wants to give the deets on the purge and Moni and all that, I’d like to fill in my gap in the Canes online lore compendium.

My memory of the Lounge side of the migration is incomplete (possibly probably inaccurate) because I wasn't super active there but I'll do my best:
