I am realsweetlou and I posted on grassy.com and miami scout forums from the late 90s to late 2000s.
I havent posted since 2009. I have been suffering for 23 years. Thank you Mario for bringing the canes back. That win last night made me reminisce
I found this site and it brings me back to the good old days

Man, i remember when Cogs got that brain tumor and was still posting. Guy loved the Canes.

I lived in Boston from 86-96. I subscribed to CaneSport from its first year and got the Sunday Miami Herald delivered (it came like thursdays in the mail) just to get the Sports page. (Ed Pope).

Did the grassy site completely get nuked or are there remnants of it online? Would love to go back and see some of the debauchery that went on there. The raids were GOAT.

Pretty sure it got nuked when Bryan moved to Scout/sold the site. Don't see anything on Way back Machine

I was on Grassy as Hemicane as well and would lurk on Scout/Shadow/Bakas,WEZ etc. IIRC I stayed on Grassy till the end before realizing I had to make the switch. Its been a long time but what a ride this season has become. GO CANES

ChefCane (Federer's agent) and then you also had RandomWalk who used to fly around on a private jet and give insider posts. I still remember being a student logging on and some guy called FUFSU posting that Butch Davis was leaving for the NFL and sure enough, 2 hours later the news broke. Good times.

Was ChefCane Federer's primary agent, or one of a number of business advisors? Not sure what specific title he claimed.

Anyone recall the Las Vegas city councilman who posted regularly and ended up going to jail for fraud after some sting operation? Seemed like a great guy, and maybe he was.

I don’t think the real early stuff is on way back, Bryan went through three, maybe four software changes between 1996 and Scout as well as the Domain name change.

There was one software change that everyone friggin hated and it didn’t last long. Put threads into a tree (not sure of the technical term) Sucked balls.

Original Canes Fan, Random Walk, Mapcane …. The GOATS of the UM boards. Always enjoyable and engaging in their posts.

Chefcane … the biggest fraud. Got his info because he was dating a football office secretary.

Great times. And now I feel old.
