Grassy days were great fun! I was on it close to the beginning (1997) and I am surprised no mention of fraggle, fraggle 318, fraggle5 as grassy got chnaged my id would disappear and on registering again found fraggle per se unavailable. On the original one they started a political board that didn't like my conservative views so I had to quit commenting to maintain my more important Canes football information where grassy was the best. Chefcane real or fraud had some great insights, Andrew I think banned me a few times although my memory is not as sharp as it once was. Most of the others I don't remember and since none of them mentioned me makes me curious if they have new names but I've always been some variation of Fraggle. Since each transition seemed to drop my grassy id and I'd have to re-register my message count is far lower then actual.
By the way, we are built to destroy Indiana's team.

I subscribe to InsideTheU and CaneSport just because I like reading articles about UM and other schools as well. Hadn't posted on their message boards, though.

CanesInSight is my go to, period. Never seen a better site for any college program

I lived in Boston from 86-96. I subscribed to CaneSport from its first year and got the Sunday Miami Herald delivered (it came like thursdays in the mail) just to get the Sports page. (Ed Pope).

Same screen name going back to Grassy days. I was even called out by name in the infamous DBC video attempting to debunk his death. Don't post anymore. Too many idiots, but I check the recruiting stuff here occasionally. Mostly hang out in Bolivian studying 3T, guysm.
 
I was a Missouri kid who fell in love with Canes watching Miami/FSU in the 90s. Subscribed to Canestime. Found grassy.com through someone on an AOL hurricanes chat room in 1998.
I’m now sitting here with kids older than I was when I started on grassy. I’m so happy they get to experience this run. I wasn’t sure it would ever happen again.
 
I think I started on the Scout board.

Anyone remember the Pink Slip Bowl back when UM played UNC at the end of Coker's tenure? Bunch of UNC fans joined in, begging for UM to beat them so they could axe their coach and vice versa. Epic thread.

Had some characters over there. Sniff Cane Ohora was a hoot.

Well... It's been a while. Haven't posted here in 11 years but I've been lurking ever since.

I remember the grassy days as well... **** it was funny. I remember CIS opening up and I kinda wandered around a dead/dying grassy forum before migrating over a couple months after it opened.

Did the grassy site completely get nuked or are there remnants of it online? Would love to go back and see some of the debauchery that went on there. The raids were GOAT.

I've wondered about the big man who used to post and say nasty stuff-- was his username NJtoFLcane or something like that? He might have been a little after grassy, I don't remember the timelines all that well. DBC was/is a classic. I remember catmilk's style now that you guys mention it, but I have a hard time remembering any other usernames.

Anyways, I'm out of my online bunker for this championship run. I was at the point where I legitimately thought I'd never see this team win on the big stage again in my life... and now I'm looking forward to seeing it in person on January 19. Go Canes

Consider yourself lucky not to have been on this site during that time to relieve the endless suffering of those of us who remembered the Swagger Canes, who actually walked the walk, not just talked the talk. Welcome back!
 
Wow haven’t seen Sigmar was on here. I’ve been on all the boards. Some know me as TennCane or something like that Bills sidekick chef at all the tailgates with Mikkie and Little General who still is my dear friend. I stop going to games 3 years ago. If any remember MiamiJoe we still watch every game together.

Great one, please on behalf of your loyal fans, if we may ask a favor - it is much easier to track your sage words when you open new threads...it is quite unlike you to bury comments inside other threads. I would like to express concern about this new tactic, and request that you maintain your legacy of making new posts as often as possible with little to no commenting on existing threads.

Otherwise there is risk of missing one of your posts, and it's something I can't bear to imagine.
